Hi all,

Normally when I order an Indian, I normally get a couple of starters like Onion Bhaji & meat Samosa. But I was wondering what other starters are really worth trying ?.

Many Thanks

Murgh chat is nice. Or chicken pakora.
I like to get a few different nann and popadom with lots of different dips usually. I cut the nann up so it is easier to eat.

The place I normally use does Chicken chaat, Lamb chaat & Aloo chaat. So may try a chicken 1. I love nann bread esp Keema, and I always get popadoms with mango chutney.

I think you'll find haggis pakora is unknown anywhere beyond a five mile radius around Union Street.

Chicken chat puri is lush but a bit filling. Paneer tikka is good too as I love it but not as a main course. I like those long mince kebab things too (I have always known them as donkeys dicks!)

Chilli mogo (cassava) or mogo in amli (a sweet sauce) is a nice vegetarian starter I've found.

I normally split my Indian into 2 meals, so may go all out & get the majority of them starters as they look really nice . I am going to attempt a Pathia curry tonight as I had Vindaloo last week & Madras the week before.

I thought a Rashmi kebab was an Indian version of Scotch egg?ie the meat surrounds the egg and is deep fried?
