Handy way for the judges to play chess with the leaderboard, though.

So what's Ballroom about that, Len?

Would have had more point if done in round 3 but not in round 10

Bad idea, BBC.

I know I'm in a minority on this forum, but I love Swing - Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, Boogie Woogie et al.

I just dont want to see Ann Widdecombe doing it. Is it too much to hope that she'll be gone by then?

Silly question.

So do I, but then I learn't to jive when quadrophenia was a good night out in Brighton not a film.........

When will they allow a proper jive in SCD instead of the emasculated ballroom version?

If Len's in charge then what's the betting that Scott will win because he's a bloke/geezer/fella?

I can see Gav doing okay in that, he just needs to keep Katya swinging around.

Oh dear, that looks awful! How are the judges supposed to watch everyone at once?

P.S Are the American contestants all really that poor? Or was that early on in the series.

This looks like another awful idea  This better not count as one of their dances in semi-final week because that will mean it'll be three proper ballroom/latin dances they'll miss which would anger the hell out of me

I don't understand? They all the same choreographed dance at the same time? ?

Have you forgotten his swing jive from last week, or purposely blanked it out?

Last seven, compared to our last six (unless I've forgotten someone?). Mind you, I don't watch the US show, so no idea how many they started with/how many weeks in it was.

He could do some pretty spectacular stuff chucking Katya around though, if she was wearing a suitable dress.

Swing dance marathons are a classic in partner dancing. Too bad so many people here seem to miss that point.

The problem with the DWTS version (both times) was that the director had
cameras going every which way. With so much motion on the floor what is needed is a distant camera with a wide angle, so we can see all the dancers at one time.

And yes, it does allow the judges to adjust the leader board if they so wish.

Looks like I'm not understanding this To me, it looks like the one guarantee that Ann won't win - or doesn't "eliminate" mean "eliminate" in this instance?

No they are not eliminated from the show, just the dance. The marks they pick up depend on what order they were eliminated from the dance.

As Ann will probably be bottom of the leaderboard, it won't make any difference to her standing, but it could be all the difference to those clustered at the top.

Looks like a good way of judging them. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I've just watched the DWTS one and it looks a bit messy. It's either going to be a lot of fun, or complete carnage. I can see Pamela and James being very good, but I have no idea how the top four could rank overall.

I'll wait and see, but I'm not jumping for joy at the prospect.

I love that style of dance too! I hope Ann gets a tap on the shoulder after 1 second!

It isn't messy really because until there are only 4 couples on the dance floor, each couple has to dance inside their spotlight circle. We'll only have 5 couples any way so it should be fine.
