Posh old birds are the worst. Mouth like a cesspit but pronounced in a true-blue accent.

I think I heard Brucie telling Tess to F**k off!

Oh hang on
I'm not sure, I'm just thinking that he might...
But if he did that, then I'll be raging!
Its just not on talking to Tess like that!

Our reactions to swearing are very, very personal. My mother's one of those posh old birds that Whiskas mentioned and hearing her swear in a cut glass accent is very funny (well, I find it funny) - but she gets very upset if anybody blasphemes in front of her. I have worked in environments where swearing is commonplace, yet where I work now I would be disciplined for doing so.

Aliona is Russian and this, I think, is significant. Russians swear as easily as they breathe and their favourite swear word is one that most Brits would find extremely offensive, yet it is part of normal conversation there. So what we might think of as unprofessional would mystify a Russian pro, which is why I think Aliona sounded confused when she was pulled up by Matt.

That's my take on it, anyway. I don't think it has any significance and I agree with Matt that it was wrong of the BBC to use it in the VT if it gives the wrong impression about their working relationship.

Swearing doesn't matter. God, if that bothers you, the amount of swearing and bitching that goes on at my work would make your head explode lol.

I think it was just a moment of frustration between two people who spend a lot of time together and are stressed. I'm of the belief that there was always some friction there but even if I'm totally wrong, what's the hoopla? So she swore and he didn't like it, big deal

It doesnt bother me at all in general. A nice, forceful and vehement swear word here or there is very satsifying! I do think swearing in the work place (which is where Aliona was at the time) should be kept at a minimum, although I can understand she may have been frustrated. If you are being recorded and any of those moments can be aired on screen, a vow of 'balderdash' instead of 'bollocks' is wise.

God, I sound like an old fuddy duddy. Im not IRL!

Looks like they still haven't fully made up either from the way they where afterwards.

If she did say that then thats out of order and it angers me. None of them should be taking it so seriously that they resort to language like that!”

Discussed on another thread.

This ain't putting Matt down! I was asking a legitimate question!!!!

And where did I say they where 2 old women?!

I've watched all the SCD series, and this was the first time I've heard anyone of them swear!

You could hear her saying shut the and the begining of the F before the bleep came in but then you could hear the UP bit after the bleep at the end too so what do you think she said instead then?
