Straight after knocking off their 1471 service this as well now...

Sending a text to 21202 I used to get a text back from O2 telling me how many minutes/texts and how much data I'd used out of my monthly allowance so I could keep on top of things. Did this just now and it only tells me minutes/texts, and shows a link to an O2 website to see my data usage. So I connected to it via wi-fi only to find a message telling me I can't access it via wi-fi and have to use their network to be able to see how much I've used. Pathetic O2, really pathetic. Flaming pity their signal is the best where I work/live.

I use 21202 sometimes the texts do take a while to come through, plus the fact is if you send 21202 after 10pm most times you don't get anything back seems a bit stupid.

What I hate about 21202,is how long it seems to take before it updates. For example, if I had 300 minutes, and then phoned for 10 mins, it would be ages before it would show as 290.

When I was Virgin Mobile, it was reflected almost immediately... just quite annoying

Not as annoying as Vodafone or Orange where it used to take 48 hours or so.

I have this arguement with T-Mobile.
If I use my phone during the couple of hours before my allowances reset, by the time the system has caught up it ends up taking the usage from my new allowance rather than the old one. I then have to call them up and they credit me.
The only exception to this is when I have no talktime left (rare) and make a call just before allowances reset - then they manage to catch up and bill me before new allowance goes on. Brilliant money maker eh?
Anyone on T-Mobile - keep an eye on this little quirk.

Pay and go deducts the credit as you use it so why can't contracts do the same?

Sorry, slightly off topic.

Vodafone still updates the next day, usually by 6am, but Oranges has been fairly accurate for the last few years (15 mins to update or less). Oranges system will also tell you when it was last updated, which is pretty cool.
