I know Bruno overmarked Scott as well, but on the whole Bruno's marks are much better than Aleshas and at least he is entertaining! I think Alesha is a nice person, but as a Judge she is boring and has nothing constructive to say.

Right, just read it and you should have put the link with the first post. Also, gotta pick you up on the title of the thread as it sounds like she deliberately overscored in order to be sacked from the show and she hasn't said that.
Its always been obvious that she and Len and Bruno oversocre, Craig while he may be correct largely in pointing out flaws is a bit to mean for my liking on the scores, so I don't have such a problem with her overscoring generally.
Having said that the recent 10's and 9's have been OTT generally this year but even Arlene joined in on that kind of thing when she was on there and sometiemes she (Arlene) and Bruno and Len sometimes imo where harsh when they shouldn't have been just to balance things out because they had been to nice for weeks on end beforehand so where harsh when they shouldn't have been.
So 3 judges, including when Arlene was there often oversocre when they shouldn't and then are harsh when they shouldn't. Messege is get consistent and just mark them as you really see it while bearing in mind they are all amateurs, not people who have gone through years of training and should be hitting the mark all the time etc
We all know that Arlene had much more knowledge than lesha too, but the Beeb didn't put Alesha on on a like for like replacement. They wanted someone younger imo, and the ratings have increased this year, and I think they thought it was a good thing to have a former winner from the celeb side on to balance things out on the judges panel. If they put another professional dancer on, it would have been just another pro expecting more than is realistic from an amateur.
All of this is obvious points that people should have been aware of from teh very begining of Alesha's time as a judge and probably have been but some still moan about her anyway and its time to stop. There are 3 professionals on the panel and one former winner of the show, fair enough balance for me.
She and Bruno both said they felt sorry for Scott at the weekend. It was wrong of them to mark him a 9 as it was a complete shambles. 7 was ample. They shouldn't be allowed to 'fix' the bottom 2 that way.

He was defeintely worthy of an 8. The way he moves aroundin that ballroom way I think it is and hold his partner is very classy generally. His general frame helps him in that as well.
8? He forgot the routine, had to be dragged round by his neck and tripped at the beginning. Nope 8 too much.
I agree ordinarily he is excellent at ballroom, but if we are marking on his AS he was overmarked by a good 3/4 points.

I don't remember or recognise him being "dragged around by the neck". As for his stumble, I got the impression it was almost deliberate as he wants out imo.

Watch it again. Scott has admitted he went completely blank. You can see he looked at Natalie and she grabbed him by his shoulder to get him to turn round then to carry on she dragged him by his neck.
It was awful and overmarked.

At least Alesha is frank and honest. She didn't try to fool us with an explanation that was untrue.
There has also been a lot of questionable marking from Len this season.
Len decided not to take part in that discussion, although he could have done so.
I would like to have heard Len justify some of his marking.

This board really is cyclical lol. Starts off with Alesha bashing, moves onto the worst dancer who the public keep in, then it goes to the celeb people feel is favoured by the judges, then the celeb who's favoured by the Beeb and right around quarter finals stage it goes back to Alesha lol. So predictable.

In that case, you will also want to sack Len and Bruno, then, who have also frequently made it clear they overmark to compensate for Craig's scoring ... won't you? Or is there one rule for Alesha and another rule for everyone else?
And why would you want to bring back Arlene? Her scoring could be just as bias as the other judges ...
Not a very convincing argument at the end of the day ...

Step in Monkseal, with his stats that show that on average, Bruno marks higher than Alesha.
Overmarking is not great, but by far the worst offence is inconsistent marking, and yes I'm talking about Len here.

Alesha gave Scott 9 for not sitting down in the foxtrot American Smooth. How can she not give Scott 10 for anything else?

You don't like Alesha, we get it, but don't keep harping on about it. Or if you insist on doing so, then don't just go for Alesha, go for the other two. It's only fair, but from what I've seen, your not exactly a fair minded poster, clouded by disdain for Alesha.

The producers as a result needed to change the atmospherics of the judging panel and she had to go to stop the judges becoming pointless and counterproductive. There's no comparison with Bruno, who may well have been trying to deal with a real problem, that the top girls were getting no votes for no good reason, by making what should have been clear clearer. I didn't say that all I said was Alesha would be better off focusing on her music career, that's all. She doesn't have much knowledge on scd judging panel and about time she went.
