As far as I can see from a quick bit of research, it's a scrambled channel and thus out of bounds for me.

Yes, but they seem to have a varied line up judging from their schedule. Would this work in the UK?

Brava has a FTA HD channel showcasing 3D on 23.5E. Don't know what the schedule is like. There's nothing on just now, but I'm sure I've seen some music presentations there.

Here we go. The live feed from the ROH is coming through on Intelsat Thor 5-6 at 8w.

Frequency 11530
SR 12890
Polarisation V

I only seem to have Thor 2/3 on my receiver and no way of adding Thor 5/6 so I've had no luck with it.

Also apparently coming through on Intelsat 905 at 24.5W and I can't get that either!

Fréquence: 11643 - Pol: H - SR: 12890 - FEC: -
Catégorie: Spectacle
Transmis en: MPEG-2 4:2:0 (PAL)

Anyone else having more luck than me?

Thor 2/3 is the same as 5/6 - it's the same position, there's just new satellites there. Align to that one (0.8W) and scan from there.

Thanks but I even tried playing around with the tuning, and zilch. Somewhere in the back of my head I have a vague recollection that I've had this problem before with Intelsat.

I've just seen this feed come up and it looks a lot more promising. When I couldn't get anything, I restored my timer setting, so I can't try it yet as I'm currently recording on 19E, but as soon as the recording's finished I'll give it a go.

Atlantic Bird 5W

Bingo! It's coming through loud and clear on Atlantic Bird, just a pity I've missed the first half hour!

Just the generic customercare@ email address.
I used that and never got a reply from them. If I ever have to contact CNBC I do know who to contact

Sterling work everyone! I've seen from just before the jewel song, so missed quite a bit, but never mind... great performance so far, or at least the bit I've seen...

Give them a nudge and ask what they've done with our opera...

Did you find English subtitles in the end? If so could you post the details?

These are the frequencies reported

Intelsat 24.5 W

11.545 H SR 12890
11.683 H SR 12890
11.665 H SR 12890
11.563 H SR 12890
11.643 H SR 12890

Atlantic Bird 5.0W

11.592 H 12890

Thor 0.8W

11.530 V SR 12890
11.512 V SR 12890

The two frequencies on Thor 0.8w were also used for the Met. Operas awhile back.

Two of the frequencies on 24.5 W I believe had Spanish and Italian subtitles.

Unfortunately I never found one with English subtitles.

Luckily I think 11.643 on 24.5W was 'clean' with no subtitles, which was the next best thing.

Fabulous production which is the best advert for the ROH.

I think they had problems with one camera which looked as though it was 'stopping down', seemingly at random.

Regards to all.

Wasn't it just...

Shame I was a bit slow as I thought it was showing tonight for some reason

Good job I hadn't booked to see it at the Cinema

And thanks for the numbers... I see I'll be adding some transponders and possibly a satellite this weekend!

Good find! I wasn't even aware they were doing this or why until tonight...

My wife and I really enjoyed the show, and even popped down the road for sweets during the interlude - they need to make it half hour next time!

According to Kingofsat, it was also on Atlantic Bird, same frequency as "Faust", although I wasn't in time to try it out.

That's handy to know as (0.8W)Thor 5&6 or 4, 5&6 as we jokingly call it in our house gives me a weaker signal than the feed on (5W) Atlantic Bird 3.

I've yet to get any kind of signal on Thor, I think I must just be in the wrong part of the country for it.

I only get a handful of channels on it as I don't bother scanning the encrypted ones,Duna 1 HD (a Hungarian channel) is one that springs to mind as one of the stronger channels...

12341 V 28000 7/8

You might want to try adding that to see if you get anything

Do a blindscan on it. As Gneiss said, 12341 V 28000 7/8 is a strong channel, 12341 V 28000-7/8 is also quite a strong one (that shows Barclays Premier League HD channel) - while encrypted, is a strong one to focus on.
