Any news on a feed for Adriana Lecouvreur which is being broadcast today at 14:00 and again at 19:00?

Do they even use a feed if it's not live? This one is listed as pre-recorded...

SUNDAY 9 OCTOBER

Opera discover "L'Etoile" by Chabrier Arte 06:00, 60 min

MONDAY 10 OCTOBER

Portrait of Elisabeth Schwarzkopf: Portrait of a singer Arte 22:15, 50 min

TUESDAY 18 OCTOBER

Opera Le nozze di Figaro Theater an der Wien, Vienna Festival 2001 3Sat 02:20, 185 min
^^^ PS don't forget the time differences...

The Met Feeds have all come through on the same frequency in the past, so once you've added the transponder and done a scan, it should just be a case of going back to it each month.

Atlantic Bird

5 West
Frequency 11675 H
SR 25780
FEC 5/6

Fingers crossed then, I'm really looking forward to this.... Just wish I could be there to see it live.

Did you manage to find Thor 5&6 BTW?

No, I think there's a problem getting it here in the north east. At least I don't seem to be missing much!

Deputy Dawg TV!!!!

Seriously, there's a channel called DDTV which when I first found it was showing Deputy Dawg in Romanian. I was quite disappointed when I found out the real name (DIRECT DIGITAL TV).

Duna2 does carry a fair bit of classical music, but aside from that not much.

Based upon last seasons transmissions, these frequencies may be of use:-

Thor 0.8W

11.532 V SR 12890 FEC 3/4 is normally the one with English sub titles.

11.512 V SR 12890 FEC? German sub titles?

Atlantic Bird 5W

11.675 SR12890 FEC? French subtitles.

There are a few more frequencies available I believe, hopefully the Scanning Geeks will come up with them. The circuits are usually available one or two hours before transmission.

Fingers crossed.

Regards to all,

Phil Thomas

I ended up recording it as I wouldn't have been able to watch the end... so looking forward to watching, probably next weekend now.

My concern with the feed above (thanks Phil) is that it's quite a weak signal for me and I fear I may loose it in bad weather. I assume they deliberately transmit them at reduced power?

Did it appear on any other satellites last night? I must confess I didn't check as I went for the English subtitles in the end... I'm such a lightweight

0.8W

11.467 V SR12890 English
11.503 V SR 12890 Russian
11.485 V SR 12890 German

I confirmed the above.

Also quoted

5 deg W 11.592 H SR 25780 which I would guess as being subtitled in French.

I watched the English subtitled version but screwed up my attempt at recording it - sods law.

Regards to all,

Phil Thomas

Thanks Phil

Friday Oct 28th

I don't have any details on performances etc but this may be worth a look:

Concert gala at the Bolshoi Reopening After six years of renovation opens the venerable Bolshoi Theater in Moscow its doors again. Arte 20:15, 110 min

Remember the time difference. I actually set my box to European time as it was just easier in the end.

Good evening...

Just to let you know 11592 H SR25780 on 5W is now live for the Met broadcast.

It scans as two channels, French and Spanish on this frequency.

11467 V SR12890 is also live on 0.8W but the signal is breaking up for me today due to less favourable weather. This was the English version last time, but by the looks of it I'll be watching in French on 5W.

I had a few sound glitches tonight on 5W so would be interested if anyone else had these too... It came through as strong as any other station on that satellite and the sound is fine on those so no reason I should have had any issues this end as far as I can tell.

I had it on 5w for a bit and had no sound issues at all. Just a little soft on 0.8w but again sound was perfect. Although I watched mostly on 0.8w so i might have missed the bad sounds

Probably just my box then, it's not exactly top of the range!

It just goes straight to the TV, but it's been fine on all the other HD channels and the last broadcast... I managed to get that on 0.8W though.

The only real difference seems to be the SR setting so I'm wondering if my box is struggling with that.
