I'd certainly like to catch the "Rigoletto" on 17th April. I'll keep an eye out for "Travelling Light" tomorrow too.

If you can get it, there's a feed on Intelsat/Thor 5/6 at .8W

11532 V SR 12891

That's the only one I've found and it's no good to me unfortunately.

I'm grateful to all who contribute to this thread - I really enjoyed The Enchanted Island and am now watching Gotterdammerung, but on AB3 with French subtitles. (Amazingly better than nothing and I'm not being ungrateful!) I can get Thor 0.8W and many of its FTA channels come in at good strength but I have failed to get anything out of the 11467V transponder which apparently usually carries English subtitles. Presumably it is a good deal weaker than the likes of BBC World, etc. Any hints about the required dish size (south London) would be of interest. I know it was reported as up and running on Satelliweb's feed reports at the same time as 5W.

I am watching Gotterdamerung on AB3 -beautiful picture but the sound has frequent drop-outs. Is there any alterations I can make to get round this?

I only noticed one very brief (1 second?) drop-out in the soundtrack during the performance (I was not seated for the whole 6 hours!) - and there were others in the intervals. French sub-titles or not that was a real joy. Shame the sub-titling started to overwrite itself at one time. Perhaps nobody in NYC had the bottle to pull the plug out and count to ten

Would you please confirm the dish size for Thor (you mention 78cm) as I had no luck with a 65 on that transponder. Thanks.

In good weather it is borderline on my 65cm dish... I tend to watch the much stronger feed, French version, on AB5....

I discovered that the issue was that it wasn't updating properly using Google Chrome... I changed my preferences using IE and it now works fine. I thought it worth mentioning in case anyone else has issues with the site using Chrome.

I

I watch the met opera also on AB but while the picture is excellent the audio suffers from frequent drop-outs. I assume that my set-up must be causing this problem but don't know what to do to cure it. Any ideas, anyone?

I'm relatively new to satellite myself, but I know the met broadcasts are transmitted at quite a high bitrate - it might be that your box is struggling with that or it may be some other setting.

Someone in the "technical forum" might know if you post all the details of the fault, your box and any settings.

I know before I updated the software in my Ross box that I couldn't record it and watch at the same time of it broke up on the live view but the recording was fine. Updating the SW appears to have fixed it...

Hi Ben,

I can confirm I have the Triax TD78 (78cm) http://www.aerialsuperstore.co.uk/ek...0[ekm].jpg

On a short extension Worldsat pole mount with a H2H motor.

I had to tweak this dish towards 0.8°W of Intelsat instead of the regular 1°W postion of Thor and had both Signal & Quality between 40 - 60 %

yes,the cinema is advertising this at 3PM as a live transmission from the Bolshoi. The last broadcast I think was the re-opening of the theatre following the rebuild and was carried by ARTE live and then on YOUTUBE.(and it's still there) I cant find it this time but I did find somewhere that part of the YOUTUBE empire would be showing the ballet presumably later on.
