Might be of interest to your wife:
PINA
Thank you...

I'm currently nursing a bit of a virus, so as soon as my eyes stop watering I'll have plenty of recordings to watch

Mind you I'll be one of those annoying people who cough and splutter all the way through the performance at the moment

Saw this at the cinema earlier this evening and really thought it was absolutely terrible apart from Senta...

ROH Cinema Feed of "Turandot" on 17th.

It's a fabulous production...saw it last week. Let's hope we can find the feeds in time.

Same here, generally I have more trouble locating the ROH feeds than the Met ones...

I do occasionally go to the pictures to see these but it has to be something I really want to see.

Agreed...the Met. seem to be more generous with their line up time. Fingers crossed.

0.8W is never strong for me, but also on:

5W 11592 H 25780

Interesting they are using the same feeds as the last Met Opera broadcast...

They quite often miss the ROH feeds for some reason and the other night they just seemed swamped with sport feeds...

I was just pleased I didn't have to rescan to find it!

Satelliweb picked up on the Test transmissions at about lunchtime...ran for an hour or so, which is how I found the frequencies,

In addition to the Met Eugene Onegin this saturday, ORF2E on 19E are doing a live broadcast of the opening night of Puccini's "Girl of the West" from Vienna State Opera at 7.15 PM BST, with Jonas Kauffman as Ramirrez and Nina Stemme as the girl in question. For me Stemme / Kauffman / Fanciulla win out over Netrebko / Kwiecien / Onegin, although I would love to see both! Incidentally from the end of October, Vienna State Opera are going to be live screening selected operas over the internet in HD, rather as Munich State Opera currently do.

Anybody know what sort of production La Fanciulla is likely to be? Wienner Staatsoper seem to be keeping it under wraps. On their website there are pictures of all their other productions - but not La Faciulla.
