Not As Many Celebs Fans On ITT This Year?
number six
04-12-2010
In previous years they have had lots of celeb fans on ITT, Marion Keys and Pauline Quirk are two self confessed fans that have appeared quite a bit, but this year they only seem to have them on Fridays show....not that I am complaining you understand as we seem to have seen more of the Judges and Pro dancers this year which I like better!

I think any so called minor "celebrity" would say they're a fan just to get some exposure on the programme.

Personally, I could manage very well without them, the clips of training footage and the criticisms thereof are probabably one of the last vestages of "sanity" remaining in SCD.

I could also do without "Len and Claudia's comedy dance show" for all the use it is.
Far better to see someone who can properly demonstrate the steps.
But it's a "show!" and all the elements are included to get as many people to watch as possible, even some who aren't the slightest bit interested in dance. I record it and wizz through the bits I consider a waste of time.

Marion Keyes has probably boycotted SCD at the loss of her beloved Lilia.

Marion was suffering a severe bout of depression earlier this year - a condition she's been plagued with for some time. Not sure how her health is now - hope she's recovered.

Michael Ball is no 'minor' celebrity!

This may be true,

but, "sincerity and TV performances" aren't necessarily synonymous.

Tamzin would be considered a bad actor if she didn't like it and it showed.

In the past, during conversations on the programme, the lack of depth of knowledge of the show of some guests has been demonstrated.

Well, he's "minor" to me, as I wouldn't cross the road to see him. But if you like him, that's fine by me.
Tamzin Outhwaite is certainly "minor."

But it was a general observation, as the guests are often "minor" or someone from the music world with something to sell.

We then have to suffer a clip from a track on their latest CD, which has naff all to do with ballroom dance, so a total waste of time in a thirty minute show where frequently we hear; "That's all we have time for!"

I wouldn't call an actress who regularly has leading roles in TV and theatre 'minor'.

You can call her what you like, I don't mind, I've only seen her rarely on TV and she's certainly never been "major."

I do agree that Tamsin Outhwaite is a very much a z lister and indeed some aren't even deserving of the tag celeb - minor or otherwise.

However where Michael Ball is concerned, whether one likes him or not, he is internationally recognised. I wouldn't cross to see Madonna but that doesn't consign her to 'minor' celeb status.

Seems to me that it's up to the producers and celeb agents who goes onto itt, we sadly don't have a choice who goes on.

Just because someone is not to a persons personal taste, it doesn't mean they are 'minor'. In the Musical theatre world MB is one of our most respected performers with a voice many performers would give their right arm for.. Add to that his concert work broadcasting on both radio and tv. Producing, recording...the list goes on. Certainly not a minor career.

I except Pauline Quirke is tied to the filming commitments for Emmerdale
