Starter: Maybe bruschetta as it's about the only starter I like, although a lot of people don't like tomato which would rather bugger me up on points
Main: I'd want something which would look after itself and most people would eat, so possibly some sort of stuffed pork loin with veg and roast potatoes, or some chicken thighs in some sort of sauce Dessert: I'd either go with homemade sticky toffee pudding or a lemon cheesecake as both could be mostly prepared beforehand. Main considerations would be ease of preparation and cooking, and how much faff they need from me during cooking. They're not exactly mind blowing courses but I'd rather cook something well. |

For started I'd got for goats cheese and spinach individual tarts with a red onion marmalade and leafy greens
For main chicken with mushroom and phili stuffing (or breadcrumb and phili stuffing if your like me and hate mushrooms) wrapped in bacon with green beans carrots and new potatoes For dessert is has to be nigella's chocolate pots with clotted cream or baileys double cream! I love cooking so could wrangle up the tarts and dessert the night before or the morning and wang the chicken in just as people are arriving! Lily99 x |

lily, i would do stuffed chicken wrapped in parma ham on a week night, so i dont think i would do it for come dine with me.
I honestly dont know what i would do. A main might be feta encrusted rack of lamb with cranberry sauce and rosti? But then i verge into the roast dinner accompaniments. |

OOh, I love this question, but I change my mind all the time.
I think I have narrowed it down to two menus: French. Oysters Garlic Roast Chicken and Pommes Dauph with green veg Mont Blanc Champagne (lots) or Indian Prawn Puree Honey and spice roasted leg of lamb, with both aubergine and sweetcorn curries and coconut rice Home made mango icecream Beer (lots) Why? Well, why not? If someone is vegetarian or fussy, I'll get them a cheese sandwich from the garage up the road. |

. For main i'd do a classic Chicken Parmesan with green beans and spaghetti with a little tomato sauce to dress the spag. A single piece of garlic bread cut from the same baguette i'd cut the Bruschetta from would be on the plate. Tiramisu would have to be the dessert. Make it first and shove it in the fridge. If there were any vegetarians two of the Bruschetta's would suit and so would the dessert. The main for them would be Spaghetti Aglio Olio, simple to prepare but absolutely delicious! (one of my favourite meals, and I love my meat). There would also be enough wine of all denominations to sink a ship! Can you tell i've thought about this? Well I have and i'd win, the only problem is i'm not going on telly for anyone!!.... ![]()

I forgot to put mine in the OP
Starter - Grandma Faye's Salmon Rissoles Main - Chicken in honey and mustard marinade Dinner - Chocolate Floating Island (It's a chocolate cake, but it cooks in it's own sauce, so by the time it's done, it's "floating" in the sauce ) and Pavlova/Eton Mess (one of them)

Hmmm it is too hard to choose. If it was now I would do;
Olives and bread with home made hoummas and oli dips to nibble on. With passionfruit mojitos and prosecco with a dash of Chambord. Starter; Black pudding, glazed sticky apple and Goats cheese stack. Served on a simple oil and balsamic dressed rocket salad. With a small pot of onion marmalade. Main (less refined and more of a good munch with this); Rack of ribs! In a sticky bbq and honey glaze. Served with a large pot of home made savory rice. Large pot of home made chunky wedges (sweet and normal potato wedges) buttered corn on the cob, home made onion rings and colslaw. With bbq sauce and garlic mayo to dip. Everybody to dig in and get messy. Pudding; strawberry and passionfruit eaton mess. Then a cheese board and good wine to finish it all off. Wow. I am starving now! |

I'd probably start with a haggis, neeps and tatties tower, or haggis tempura (deep fried haggis balls in batter to most people)
Main course would be a good rich venison stew (or casserole to be posh) with maybe dumplings on top and a few veg on the side Pudding would be the main problem as I rarely do them, but if I couldn't get away with cheese and oatcakes, then it would be a fresh fruit salad, including things like dragon fruit and anything else odd I could get my hands on. Maybe I'm taking the move to the highlands too seriously? |

Hmm, I think I'd have to go with:
Starter: Baked camembert with fresh home-made bread for dipping. Main: Slow-roasted Lamb shoulder with garlic and rosemary, roast potatoes, minted peas and broccoli, with gravy. (had this yesterday and it was to-die-for) Dessert: Apple and blackberry crumble with home made custard. Yummy. |

Starter: crab on sourdough toast with tarragon and mustard. Cheese for any veggies who fancy more than just the posh toast.
Main: Le Grand Aioli - steamed white fish, with lots of steamed veggies, olives, new potatoes with chives, served with a huge pot of garlic mayo for dunking. Traditionally, it has boiled egg as well, which means that any veggies get their protein fix. Dessert: chocolate mousse, served with a little glass of dessert wine, 70s style. |
