I can't see this selling well.

It was the one idea I remembered and thought that could do well. Argos seem impressed. GO PANTSMAN!

according to the website £25k of the sales will go to cancer research, so he must be confident otherwise it'll be a big loss.

Argos predict 10,000 by Christmas so he has done well. Probably would have made more sense to manufacture in Asia but UK manufactured is a good angle for him.

It strikes me as one in a long line of gimmicky exercise aids that that bought, used a couple of times and then stashed in a cupboard.

Of course, the 'stashed in a cupboard' part is immaterial from a business point of view. it's the 'gets bought' part that's important.

Maybe it's not so silly an idea as Pants Man then!

I can see this selling very well - and the price is right. A lot of people want to exercise various targeted muscles and are put off going to the gym either by the "body perfect" culture that exists there (and their lack of confidence) or the high costs. This enables them to exercise in the privacy of their own home and it doesn't break the bank.

Was he in the team that came up with this in the first place? Did he have to pay the BBC to get the copyright of the product?

I read something in one of the other tabloids that Phil is set to do extremely well financially out of this.

Yep. It was mainly his idea and design. Debra was PM, Lorraine, Mona, Noorul and Yasmina were the other team members. The alternative product proposed was the ankle exercisor.

I always thought the Body Rocka was one of the few genuinally good performances of the last series and thought it could sell well.

Whoever wrote that article did not do their research as Lord Sugar did not deride the Body Rocka. It was praised and easily won the task.

Good on Phil for actually doing something in the business world following leaving the show. You do not here about stories like this very often.

My Body-Rocka arrived this morning!!

Very cool box like Apple Mac sort of style and Phil has a little picture on the back.

The Body Rocka is very light and looks quite different to the prototype they had made, it's a lot smaller.

In the box you get a full body workout plan and there is a pad to put it on so it wont damage the floor which will please my husband.

I work in product development and I hold my hands up and have to say I am very impressed!

Will test it out tonight!

Step 1: Remove and discard packaging.

Step 2: Place the BODY-ROCKA™ under the bed.

Step 3: Sit down and put the telly on.

As tempting as that sounds I am determined to get into shape for the new year!

Apparently "even just sitting on it" is a work-out!

So that might work, sit on it , glass of wine and watch The Apprentice!

Try a glass of wine (full) in each hand.

The extra effort keeping balanced should give quite a few muscle groups a good workout.
