Rebecca
At what point has she moved in a performance?? Louie said she can sing she can dance.........WHEN has she danced?? Stacey took SO much flack last year especially from Simon cos she didn't "dance"......so what is so different this year. I will admit Rebecca is good but,BUT she needs to move while she sings......am I wrong?

Stacey wasn't in Cheryl's category.
And Rebecca was brilliant last night

Rebecca is just great can't wait to get her first album.
Which she will not have to move to make. LOL None of them do that much "Dancing". It's more swaying to the music and walking round the stage. Some artist dance ,some don't. I can't see why it would matter. I would have thought It's the voice that counts ,as it's a singing competition. |

What all the 'she doesn't move brigade' are asking for leads Cheryl miming to 'Promise This' i.e. no singing at all.
Then they moan about that. |

I don't get the complaints. I could never imagine someone like Adele dancing around on stage.

It is the way that Rebecca doesn't act out the lyrics that annoys me more.
Mary hardly moves but she gets the story of the song across. |

I couldn't believe it when Louis said she could sing and dance. I watched back her performance and there was NO dancing. All the production and backing singers/dancers gave the illusion she was dancing but she never did. The only contestant this year who is capable of moving around the stage is Cher.

If Rebecca was doing big dance routines she'd have to mime like her mentor does. I'm quite happy for Rebecca to sing more and dance less at this stage.

No.. Wait! According to Louis she danced yesterday... Because apparently walking 10 feet down a walkway constitutes dancing.

I don't understand how not moving has become a punishable offence. I like Rebecca just the way she is. I respect that she isn't everyone's cup of tea, that's cool but I, for one, thinks she is the bomb.

I don't mind Rebecca not dancing. She has a good enough voice to pull of just singing. I think what's getting up people's noses is the hypocrisy of the judges. In previous series, contestants similar to Rebecca that just stood their and sung got stated by the judges. Last year Simon referred to Stacey as a "singing candle". What annoyed me was Louis trying to make out like she was dancing when she blatantly wasn't.

No but it has put the expectation in people's minds that someone should be able to sing and dance as well. When Rebecca isn't pulled up for not dancing and on top of that is praised for dancing she never did, it annoys non fans. Fans won't care either way as they like Rebecca the way she is but non fans will jump on it quicker than you can say "favouritism".

The rules seem to change week from week & from contestant to contestant.
Rebecca is great, but I have now grown to accept that she can only do one thing & she might just win the show by doing exactly the same thing every week. If that's what the audience & $imon wants, then more power to them. For me personally, I like to see a bit of versatility with the acts, but then, I'm not important in the grand scheme of things. |

Also, I'd like to add, I don't necessarily think that Rebecca has to win this competition. I think there is no one who absolutely doesn't have a chance to win or has a right to win. They are all different and talented in their own right. My greatest emotional connection is to Rebecca but if any of the others won, I wouldn't feel like she had been hard done by.

Mary has zero empathy with her lyrics. Her performances would only be altered slightly if she substituted her lyrics with doodydoodydoodydoo.
