I know it's been raised before but "Strictly Come Dancing"- what rubbish sound. Is the BBC incapable of producing a decent sound mix these days ?. The band is out of balance and the singers appear to be locked in the bog.

Funny you should say that. We watched on BBC1 HD (Sky) with Dolby Digital and, for the first time, thought the sound was not bad. A proper centre channel for the first time and a lot of the crowd were behind me which meant I could turn down much of the inane clapping "to the music".

Having mentioned the crowd, if they give everyone a standing ovation, what can they do when something is really, really good? Shut up for a change? Boo!
