just my own personal thoughts on these two

ive nothing against mary apart from shes become very pub singerresh and you do not under any circumstance do the way we were

i know it was her mothers favourite but she jsut cant do it justice
her other song was so tacky i was cringing i still hope she gets through over cher

now cher sorry was out of tune and awful i dont know what the judges are on (apart from dannii) but theres something funny going on-it didnt sound good

she picks two brand new songs and they say it was original-er wot?

you cant sing a duet by yourself for starters and you cant rap like eminem it just doesnt work

also her attitude is the thing that bugs me she thinks shes owed this for some reason like its a god given right to be there

i wish people were more humble like rebecca who doesnt even expect to get into the next week

she needs to take a good look at herself

And Matt was scarcely any better than all three of them.

Yes. Really.

Her first song was awful. They really hyped it up and...nothing. Her dancing consisted of walking from A to B, she wasn't good vocally and it had no life about it whatsoever. She didn't even look as if she was enjoying herself. The second was boring.

Not in his second song but i thought his first song was really very good. I really enjoyed his performance and you could tell he genuinely wasn't well. Just think how brilliant it would have been had he been well.

Rebecca was great I'm afraid. Matt deserves to go through, but he was terrible. Mary might have actually been better than Matt thinking about it.

I personally preferred his second song, but it goes to show everyone has different opinions.

And as for who's going, it's got to be Cher.

I agree with you.
mary has a good voice but cant see her appealing to the younger audiences . Im sure there is a niche for her in the market though..
Cher is just terrible.

MY opinions, i hasten to add, before I get lynched.

Why judge Mary then she has been ill for 2 weeks and did not even rehearse this week. or last week. She was noticeably hoarse tonight. when speaking. At least be fair.

It was a funny old show last night.

I think anyone who thinks their favourite is safe should think again. Certainly I wouldnt like to predict it - imagine if you were watching the show for the first time last night and decided to put in a vote. Who would you vote for?

I liked everyone tonight for different reasons, even Cher who I don't normally think much too. Its disconcerting.

Ah well, if you like bagpipes, I can see that Rebecca wouldn't be to your taste, but Matt might be.

Rebecca's first performance was pure class, second good but lacked something.

I have to agree with the OP about Mary and Cher.

Leona Lewis didn't do a lot of dancing either, I guess. Rebecca I would listen to, although I probably wouldn't go to see her. She's a pure singer, not a performance artist, and the trend these days seems to be towards performance, as it disguises any flaws in the singing - Jedward, anyone?

If i like bagpipes?? wtf?

I like Rebecca but this is the third week running she has been poor so i'm not gonna lie and say she was good when she wasn't.

She didn't dance at all, she didn't sing well and she looked uncomfortavle and not at ease. I was expecting a lot more from her after they way her VT made out she was doing something very different and spectacular.

It has nothing to do with singing talent, mary will go

Please let Cher be out tonight. If I had a gun I'd probably shoot my telly when she comes on!

Am hoping Mary will get the votes but can't help but feel if Cher is losing there will be a sudden surge of votes for her in the last five minutes or a 'surprise' sing off

Call me cynical but this year manipulation is rule not the exception
