Why do people defend Cher's brat behavior and diva tantrums by saying "but she's only 17"? Look at One Direction, they are age 16, 17, 17, 17 & 18. All you hear from people is how polite they are to eveyone backstage. Where are their tantrums? Bottom line is Cher is a brat with an over inflated ego and will probably act in the same diva manner when she's 25.

I agree, then again some on here will make an excuse up If Cher killed someone.

Cher is a spoilt little brat, who will get worse the more people like Chavvy Tweedy let her have her way.

I should have used that as an excuse during my A levels.

Why do you all care so much? Teenagers are brats, in most cases, just because One direction seem polite, but were infact very rude to Wagner from what I have seen, doesn't mean you should compare them to Cher. Worry about liking people, get nowhere looking at flaws to dislike people

No. Teenagers can be brats when they're 14/15 but at 17, you're almost an adult and have usually started to mature enough to get past tantrum and sulking.

Some people just have the sort of spoilt brat character that makes them brats for life and the signs appear to be that Cher is an over indulged little madame

I'm 17, and a majority of the people I know that're my age are generally mature enough to know the kind of behaviour that is acceptable.
Cher should be thankful she's where she is, because in my opinion, she really isn't that talented.

My daughter is 18 and never acted like that. Neither do her friends. Sorry it's no excuse.

She's a stroppy teenager, she should have grown out of it by now but obviously hasnt. My daughter was a bit like that (although not as bad) until she went to University then she suddenly grew up.

One Direction's boys put Cher to shame. They are polite, articulate, obviously grateful for the opportunity (maybe not so much Liam who I think would far rather be solo, but even saying that he is still polite even with a face of thunder!) and very popular amongst their fellow contestants.

Cher should maybe take this opportunity to learn some appropriate behaviour - but this has no bearing really on her talent or lack thereof, but ultimately her perceived personality may lose her this competition.

As much as I am not a one direction fan, their behaviour and attitude shine through compared to the human pitbull that is cher.

Diva with little talent. That's my opinion.

Im just saying that her being 17 is no excuse for poor behaviour. One Direction have been subjected to the same over inflated ego rub as Cher (they aren't half as good as Simon tells them they are) but haven't acted as badly. Her age is not why she's a brat.

Agree. I am fed up with the judges excusing her brattish and rude behaviour due to her age. One Directions boys are all the same age as her and their behaviour is so much better. Noticed them hugging Mary last week after she was voted through too. Cher really needs to go tonight for the good of my health.

Sometimes people just have an irrational loyalty to stars or "stars" within reality shows. They can't take the blinkers off and judge a situation objectively, and I would describe most Cher fans like that.

And where is the proof behind any of these supposed 'tantrums' and 'brat behaviour'?

The tantrum that everybody is talking was explained on the extra factor; Cher was originally supposed to sing LTWYL with a different intro, but she couldn't get it right, and then started crying due to fear of messing up in the semi. Not a tantrum in the slightest.

The for this girl on here is unbelievable; okay, you may not like her, but there's no need to post about how much you hate her, when you actually don't know her at all. You are all just making assumptions based on tabloid fodder that has no evidence.

We don't know what happens backstage. It is possible that she looses her temper not because she is a diva but because she is a teenager under pressure.
And I say it is possible because I don't know...

She looks extremely stressed to me in her interviews, and as if she is conscious that she doesn't come across well and is trying to change it but doesn't know how to.
She may not have had the most polished education and is finding it hard to cope.

But whatever

Yes please! I may even be tempted to start watching again if Cher is voted off.

Am I right in thinking there is no judge's save anymore? Just public votes?

I havent seen anyone say they hate her in this thread. And I based my post on what I see not what I read.

Cher is young and will mature over time, everyone is different.

Brian Friedman said she has a tantrum last night on X factor, you carry on ignoring the truth as I am sure it fits your Cher protecting agenda.

My teen had a friend like her til a few weeks ago, thank goodness it's all fizzled out, most stressfull couple of months for us all, daughter included. High maintenance doesn't begin to describe this child.

And you can ignore the point where I explained the 'tantrum', but of course that wouldn't fit into your anti-Cher agenda.

Perhaps you can explain away all the other claims of Cher throwing tantrums, or do you think there is only one.

It has all just been tabloid crap, which always start with 'a source'. The stories are unfounded, and are just made up from Cher's stage presence, or 'swagger'. You show me one of the stories about Cher throwing a tantrum that has actual proof behind it and then I'll believe it.
