This really irritated me last night.

Obviously it's a difficult time for Zain with the loss in his family, but it was an equally difficult time for Paije a few weeks ago with his family loss but that was the week Simon told him he had zero chance of winning. And the fact that Paije had to leave for several days and had a family loss wasn't mentioned at all.

This year I have lost all respect for Simon. He is so obviously biased against some acts and in favour of others and the show really should be taken to task for treating the contestants so differently.

Paije may have stated he didn't want it mentioning for all we know.

Desperate Cowell. That's all there is to say on the matter.

It's amazing how he's gone to one of the least liked judges this year. He's turned into a parody of himself.

This might well be true, and I didn't htink of that, but for me the point is that was the week Simon was very harsh on him and told him he had zero chance of winning the show. In view of what he'd gone through that week it was simply too cruel.

I don't disagree .

I know if I was in a position where a relative had passed away I wouldn't want it mentioning because I would probably break down during the VT before I sung.

Why was it mentioned. Were they worried he may not be able to perform to his standard?

I noticed it too, but it's totally understandable. Paije was expendable and One Direction aren't.

That wasn't in the week his grandmother died.

I'm sure it was. After Simon made his remarks, Danni made a coded reference to it by saying he'd had a very difficult week. It was covered in the newspapers - they were saying he only had one day to rehearse as he wa at home the entire week.

Danni is so with it all the time, she knows exactly what Simon and Cheryl are up to. Kudos to her for keeping cool, if it was me i would have got up out of my seat and banged their heads together by now!!

Simon said that when he performed Crocodile Rock. On the week his grandmother died, he performed Ain't Nobody.

It wasnt mentioned at all in the VT and the judges did refer to having a 'difficult week' but many viewers wouldnt have known what they meant. I think its pretty obvious why it wasnt in the VT - they wanted him out and that would have gained him sympathy votes- he may have not wanted to mention it anyway but thats still the mentality this show works on

They also went overboard on Matt's illness last night - hardly a reference to Mary also being sick or why she might have cried at the end of her Streisand song.

I am sad for Zain - but its not as if he contributes much by way of singing. Paije was a soloist.

Some acts are favoured and some are not by the producers etc.Hence 1 Direction and Cher singing last again last night and Mary at the start.

Wand Erection can't be doing as well as I'd feared as last night you could see the panic setting in for Simon. Giving them the final slot, going for the sob story for Zain and then having a dig at Matt for being ill (when Simon also missed rehearsals) was the most blatant manipulation yet.
