"Memories" is not a "belter" song, it should be sung wistfully and tenderly. I was never a big Barbra Streisand fan but my late husband was and he loved that song.

Mary completely ruined it.

I think Matt's performance of the Billy Joel song was hampered by his bad throat, that was obvious.

One Direction - well sorry but they did either mime or were greatly assisted in some way.

Rebecca, mmm, "Amazing Grace" quite good, but she didn't really "sell" the first song, rather boring considering it was more up-beat.

Cher - not my cup of tea, so can't comment, didn't impress at all though.

Absolutely agree almost blonde. I predicted a butchering of one of my favourite songs and was right. She sang it like a bull in a china shop.
