Just gone to apply for xfactor,
i've known people go to first stages of auditions and they start april time.
But closing date is 11th Feb?! I'm 16 in March - how is this fair!
Especially since the show is rumored to start in November next year

I guess you have no interest in a career in music.

If you have... do yourself a favour... don't ever consider applying again.

You're probably the first 15yr old who's not prepared to lie, well done but here's some advice... lie

Not to be rude, I think if your someone who wants to do their own music, its best to release videos to Youtube and see what happens.

The X Factor is not the way because:
1. You might not go far on X Factor
2. If you get to the live shows, you will be changed in what music your normally sing
3. If you win, you have basically no control, Simon can do whatever he wants with you.

I think you would be better advised to be your own person, instead of exposing yourself to being the puppet of someone who will use and then throw you on the rubbish pile.

They'll do zero amount of checking for the first round, if you get through just correct them since you'll be 16 any way.

btw most people lie a little when getting jobs it's just natural

This series' winner gets a prime time platform for a stab at the Christmas singles/album Charts, Finalists get a nice single out for Valentine's Day or Mother's day and winner's single tops the Easter chart.

Chance your arm Sinead : tell them you are 16,and see how far you can get.If by some chance, you get through the auditions you can then reveal your real age,and leave it up to them whether they want to let you continue or not.

Many a person trying to make their way in showbiz has told fibs in the past

It's 16 for a reason. It's not that you'll be any more mature by that age, it's to give you the chance to finish school first. Seriously, if you expect to get further than the original audition stage, then you'll be missing lots of time from school. They don't fit it around the school holidays.

Get your GCSEs done and go back next year. It will still be there then and your voice will probably have improved as well.

Sinead - don't know you but just to throw in the tuppence worth - like others have said, pursue your career away from the XF route.

Ok we've had a little discussion with the other members of this thread and come to a conclusion, we're afraid to tell you that we don't find you motivated enough to attend the first round auditions. You been given numerous options and found a reason to not try any of them, so thank you for your interest and good luck next year.

<-- smilie face for you to walk out to

Might be worth doing your GCSEs first before going for X Factor?
Btw, can we have a link to your youtube?
