If 1 Direction win, what will SYCO 'do' with them?

Will there be a 'disappear for a year' approach and bring out 'the album' next winter?

Or should they seriously re-think the approach for 1 Direction and market them in a different way?

He owns them lock, stock and barrel unlike the other acts they're 100% manufactured by x-factor. So what ever they do Simon will get a massive cut

As their appeal is based entirely on their looks I think that whether they win or lose, there'll be an album of cheesy cover versions released very quickly. They don't have the talent to be worth a massive investment of time or money.

I don't see the group lasting long beyond the X Factor tour - for them to enjoy any longer-term success they need to sort out Liam's attitude as he clearly still wants to be a soloist and get rid of Sea Urchin and Blondie and replace them with a couple of dancers. Zain is probably the worst of the lot but apparently he's the fit one so they're going to have to continue to stick with his dire vocals and charisma-free stage presence.

He should release their single/album as soon as possible before the Tweenies forget them.

Simon is already planning world domination.

Anyone seen that Simpson episode where Barts in a boyband and they're used to recruit kids for the military? I can see something like this happening. Kids will become hypnotised. Simon will have an army and take over the world!!

A couple of albums of stuff that Westlife have already covered. Same old toss from the Syco karaoke factory, same backing track different singer(s).

Oh, and a couple of tours to cash in on the 8-year-old fans, followed by a public split with Harry going solo to appeal to the fans who will be 10 years old by then.

This.

A few covers, a few slushy ballads to get the girlies swooning and a couple of upbeat ones where they move about cheesily like TT doing the Flood on CIN...

Surefire number 1 then.

They are that $h1t, I don't think Syco could do anything with them, other than teach them to lip sync and mime, which is what they already do.
