Well is it just me or did last not feel like a semi-final. It started off well but went down hill. Although it wasn't a bad week, it certainly wasn't the best.
To start with, Rebecca was good last night. Definitely my favourite of last night. The first song suited her voice to a tee. As for her second song, Rebecca sung Amazing Grace beautifully but it wasn't the best version of it.
For those that have heavily criticised Mary, you should be ashamed. Although she wasn't 100% she was still good. To go out on stage and sing the way she did whilst being sick says something about her character, classy! She may not have the best voice in the world but thoroughly deserves to be there even the final. It was nice to see her move about a bit on her first song and sing something uptempo. Her second song was a different story. She struggled at the start but pulled it back pretty quick. However, she did choke a little at the end but who wouldn't in her place. Saying that she did sing the rest superbly! What annoyed me again was how they conveniently didn't say much about her being sick compared to others. Also, how rude Simon and Cheryl were assuming Mary was gone this week. I only hope the public see through this and vote for Mary just to shut them up. A part from a couple of tuning issues, Mary was still good and a close second for me last night.
Matt was my biggest disappointment last night for how talented he is. Granted, like Mary he was sick and they went over the top with it, but he battled on and have to give credit to him for that. It shows what a good character he has. However, I still can't stand it when he screams the song not sing it. It hurts my ears. What on earth was Danni thinking about that second song. It was terrible. It was not his best performance and looked in danger. I do think he'll be safe and hope so because he is talented even though he isn't my cup of tea.
Again, with One Dimension, they were OK but another typical boybland. The first song wasn't that good. Some major tuning issues and flat. However, the second song was much better and I quite enjoyed it. You know they'll be safe though as Simon has always had an act in the final.
This brings me to Chav Lloyd, I mean Cher Lloyd. Sod it, I mean Chav. That what she is and I find her very irritating! She gave typical performances what you expect from her. That's her thing and fine but I can't stand Rap! To me, Rap is another way of saying I'm crap at singing so I'll talk my way through it. Anyway, didn't like her performances. They started off OK until she Rapped! Her attitude towards Danni was terrible. It wasn't what she said but how she did. Danni was only trying to give her advice then Chav came out with this 'Twist on English music,' what twist? Artists have been doing this sort of thing before she was born. She isn't different, just trying to clone someone. We need more tridential singers not more Rap artists. Rap has been around since about the late 70s - early 80s. She is terrible and needs to go, especially after those performances. The worst thing was she sang Stay very well a couple of weeks ago. Other than that, didn't enjoy her at all. Cher needs to go, not because of jealousy, but to give her a good kick up the back side.
I'm sure the result will be interesting. Although Mary is favourite to go, I think it could be Cher. I hope if Mary does survive her name is read out first.
