Palm Pre?
I used to use a palm treo 650 and have been thinking for my next mobile going for a palm pre, has anyone got experience of them, are they any good? I'm currently using a HTC wildfire which I like other than the screen can be a bit of a pain with its low rez.

I think its getting dangerously close to being phased out, though I think theyve just launched a new version, albeit through the Palm website.

Palm/HP have launched the new one, Palm Pre 2.
But the webOS platform hasn't been successful. Everyone said it was a great OS but that the hardware wasn't very good and in the end there wasn't much app development for the platform as not many handsets were sold. If you like HTC Wildfire, why not upgrade to it's bigger brother the HTC Desire or even bigger brother HTC Desire HD. Android has become a successful platform and isn't going anywhere. Even Symbian on a Nokia phone would probably be safer than a Palm phone. |

Thanks for the replies, I do like the android os but really liked the plam os on the treo, in fact I used that one mobile for several years! Since then I've gone through a couple of android handsets an iphone and back to an android in the wildfire. Liked the iphone for the first few weeks but after the initial "ive got an iphone" shine wore off decided it wasn't for me and got the wildfire. I like sim free phones but the latest htc handsets are still a little expensive, saying that I may hang onto the wildfire until my current contract runs out and see what upgrades they offer me.
