I hope Kara has the rumba! She would do an amazing rumba, we better not be denied this! Probably the waltz too, although wouldn't be gutted if it was VW she did. But waltz and rumba just go together so well. Cannot wait to see what she produces this week

Good guessing! I have to feel sorry for any couple that gets the Samba at this stage of the competition - a difficult dance to score well in, at a time when, traditionally, the judges throw 10s around like confetti. I'm really hoping for a rumba from Kara and Artem - it could be spectacular - and this is a dance that I normally loathe.

Btw, I'm going to copy Bonnie and ALWAYS call it the Viennese Whirl from now on - it's just such a PERFECT description!

Hope Pamela and James get the QS and Paso Really really dont want them to get the Samba...it seems to be James' cursed dance. I'd be really disapointed if the final didnt have them in it

If this is correct:

Scott - AT and Charleston
Gavin - Samba and VW (Scott doing the only other 2 available for him)
Kara - Waltz and Rumba (only others available for her)
Pamela - Paso and QS
Matt - Salsa and Tango

I can see Scott and Pamela going through the final, very crowd pleasing dances, I know they are among my top favorites.

Although I am hoping that Kara and Artem and Matt and Aliona somehow get through to the final.

One thing that makes me feel (unfortunately) that we wont see the couples that advance do all the dances is that it would mean Kara (were she to reach the final) would do each of the waltzs in the space of a week, which could be considered a tad unfair to the others.

My guess is that may be precisely why Kara will get the rumba this week ... And, Carry On Tess aside, it's the dance I most want to see her do.

My guess is that she may not be given the samba as isn't that she danced with Mark Ramprakash in the Comic Relief/Sport Relief/whatever a few years ago?

James will be hoping he doesn't get the samba - hasn't he exited on that dance twice before?

No actually if you want to be totally accurate... its only been confirmed that Scott is doing Charleston and Argentine thingy! !!

I remember hearing or seeing that too... (cant remember where though).

Personally I think its quite possible that there will be duplicate dances and just because Scott is doing Charleston doesnt mean that Gavin won't be doing it as well.

Kara performed a far superior American Smooth in Blackpool than Pamela, yet was marked lower, and Kara performed a sensational Tango last week and was marked lower.

James has played a canny game this year, choreographing dances that obey the rules and please the judges, hence the high scores. Artem has been more daring with his choreography and seriously p*ssed off Len with an AS that wasn't danced in hold and all that faffing abaht with the chair in the tango. But they were crowd-pleasing dances (they certainly pleased me).

We will see, I guess, whether it is the judges or the public who crown the winner.

I think it's all wrong that by the end those still in will not have performed all the same dances. Everyone says that the samba is the most difficult latin dance but it's possible Pamela may not have to do it. That can't be right can it?

I think what's funny is that for the first time the best dancer (in my eyes, anyway) is criminally underrated.

Usually the best dancers are overmarked (if that makes any sense) and overpraised, but in Kara's case it couldn't be more different.
