I do prefer proper tango music, but there have been some lovely ones to non-traditional music, for example Vincent's dances with Rachel and Louisa.

Matt's could be fine, provided that Aliona doesn't do anything daft with the choreography again.

Yay, I usually despise the Tango (except when Vincent and Flavia are dancing it right in front of me with Vincent's bum in my face but I'm not spoiled or anything ) but this song is a good one

Really, really hope Matt's doing a Salsa, don't want to see a Paso AND a Tango.

My first thought was actually that Hung Up sounds much better as a cha cha cha. I'm not convinced about it working that well as a tango...then again, I may be hearing the bit that was stolen from ABBA's Gimme Gimme Gimme as a ccc because on the ABBA reworked for ballroom and latin CD I think Gimme Gimme Gimme is a cha cha cha.

Kelly and Bredan used Gimme Giime Gimme for a tango

Fully confirmed on ITT:

Gavin/Katya ~ Viennese Waltz & Samba
Kara/Artem ~ Viennese Waltz & Rumba
Matt/Aliona ~ Tango & Salsa
Pamela/James ~ Quickstep & Paso Doble
Scott/Natalie ~ Argentine Tango & Charleston

I agree it's a bit weird that Gavin and Kara are doing the same ballroom when all the other dances are different. Would have been better for Kara to do the Waltz this week, especially as we haven't had one since Michelle's five weeks ago! Ah well.

Oh, and the dances each couple hasn't performed:
Gavin/Katya ~ Argentine Tango & Charleston
Kara/Artem ~ Waltz & Samba
Matt/Aliona ~ Waltz & Paso Doble
Pamela/James ~ Argentine Tango & Samba
Scott/Natalie ~ Foxtrot & Cha Cha Cha

I think the reason comes in your dances that the couples haven't done yet. The VW is traditionally done as a group dance by the final two couples in the final IF that's happening this year then the producers won't want it as a dance that someone has to in the final outside of that context. The waltz you can get away with as both Alesha and Dawes did waltzes in their finals.

Just back from an evening out and watched the training..........Kara's VW looks wonderful as does her dress.....and although she says she hates the Rumba it sure looks good.

Bless Gavin he seems to be a lot more relaxed I think he feels he has gone further than he would ever have thought and has nothing to loose so just enjoy.
