...the final between Pamela, Matt and Kara. Pamela will go next because she is older than Kara; the final two will be Matt and Kara. Kara will be hard pushed to win. It might be like Tom against Rachel. She will need an extra special showdance to beat Matt, even though she is the better dancer.

I wouldnt bank on it......Gavin should have gone this week on that logic.

I dunno, I think Kara might edge it, though I realise it's a tall order against the popular young male. She could be the next Jill. It'll probably be down to the show dances, both of which should be cracking, with any luck.

I'd be happy with either of them winning tbh, but would like the final to be between them, with Pam in third place. I'm a bit torn about Scott as I do like him but his form has been inconsistent and recently very poor.

I'd rather see Gavin and Pamela out but it's all to play for.

I don't think the voting patterns are the same from week to week (apart from Matt leading the pack which I'm convinced has remained unchanged).

My logic is, Scott and Gavin have been in the bottom two, so are vulnerable. Pamela will top the judges' marks again and get to the final, deservedly or not. The judges will do a Lisa on Pamela in the final, give her top marks; but she will still be out, basically because Kara is as good or better and is younger. That leaves the final showdance showdown between Matt and Kara. Kara will really have to blow everyone away because Matt will have some inherent advantage being a popular BBC male presenter, like Chris ; but if anyone can beat him, it's her.

Kara will really have to pull out all the stops if she is up against Matt in a showdance as you can guarantee that Aliona will use his gymnastics to their advanatge and maximise this.

Don't bank of Gavin being one of the next 2 to go.

Personally I think Scott will be out... but I think the jury's still out for Gavin.

Matt could well go. Depends on whether Aliona has a slightly mental episode when doing the choreography.

I would not bank on it being either Gavin or Scott to go next week. There are a lot of votes cast for the semi finals that never vote in previous weeks so you have an unknown factor and then you also have Anton & Ann voters.

I suspect Gav will be out - and as much as it pains me - I think you might be right about Scott [/sadz]

I will be voting my socks off for Kara!

If the final is between Matt and Kara I think that's about right: they're both evenly matched and either one could win it.

Dont bank on Scott going anywhere yet.

also because the semi is over 2 nights we dont know when the voting lines will be open......will they have a period during Friday evening for voting aswell as Saturday.......the actual amount of votes cast could be very different.

Agreed ,Would love this result.

Shame we cant have joint winners, so for me Matt to win.

good point..

If the voting is only open on Saturday - any of the couples who did their best dance on Friday night might be handicapped...

Sort of hoping that voting lines will be open for 30 mins on Friday too.

It's going to be about who can learn quickly. Three dances will be a tall order.

Gavin will struggle,

I fear Kara might struggle too, not with the dancing, but the learning. Not sure why I think this, but I think she peaks late in the week and gets a bit 'stressy'.

Matt and Scott, depends on work schedule.

So, Pamela is probably in the best position... if she can devote enough time to it.

Too right!

He's had the added impetus of being in the bottom 2 and that will spur him on.
Thanks to Bruno btw for his vote of confidence.

Was tonight the first time that the eliminated couple was called last?
They were still playing the 'Widdy' game right to the bitter end

Anyway, does anyone else feel like I do that they want to see the series played out a week at a time and to slow down the pace a bit?
We've wasted 10 weeks, mostly wishing for the same thing and that's for there to be good dancers left which means it has whizzed by already with only 2 weeks left.

Can we please savour the moment with the 'Fab Four' still in plus Gavin who is starting to fight for his place

If I must choose then it's a Kara/Matt/Scott final (alphabetical order)

No Bruno's feelings could not have been clearer - I bet anything that come the swingathon Matt gets called before Scott

I have a feeling we could be seeing Gavin coming third.

I think Pamela and Scott could both be eliminated next week In an ideal world (and based upon ability, personality, like-ability imo, and the dreaded J-word ) I would like to see Pamela, Scott and Kara and though she is not my favourite as I have found it difficult to warm to her at times I think Kara should win - she is by far the best dancer and so should be rewarded for that. I've found it difficult to warm to Matt and Aliona so would quite like them to go - feel like he hasn't improved as much as the others or put on as big a showstopper performances as some of the others have. However , this is ONLY my opinion - just what I would like to see happen

EDIT: Actually I wouldn't really mind if Gavin made it to the final three tbh

I'm feeling a bit tactical. I'd like Scott and Pam to go next week, because Gavin is less threat to Matt and Kara who are my favourites! (Kara to win)

I think Scott should reach the final actually. As long as Scott puts in good performances next week, which he's more than capable of, it'll be Pamela and Gavin who go. That is, if the public were voting on dancing. If they're not, it could be any two going next week.

But Scott is some points short of his peak form. He peaked too early and has run out of gas. despite being propped up by the judges (except Craig) he really is the walking dead. I can't see him recovering peak form in one week. He is just too exhausted to get back to his best.

Pamela hasn't put in a bad performance though and even Gavin hasn't had to be led around by the neck. Scott will, put in an excellent performance because he's an excellent dancer but I wouldn't be surprised if he goes, when Gavin does...ie in the semi final.

I think he recovered his form tonight. I don't mean that it was that great a paso but I at least got the feeling he was on it. It's just that in latin, his on it isn't as good as some of the others in latin lol. But I think adrenaline and wanting to get to the final will help them all and Scott, when he's good, is more deserving of a final spot than Pamela, in my view.

I think Pamela has put in some sub par performances. The week of her jive until the Charleston last week were quite iffy and she was overscored for her dances since getting her form back. Plus her salsa in week 2 was quite dodgy too. Scott has had three bad weeks where, admittedly, he was worse than Pamela was in her bad weeks. But at his best, he's better than Pamela for me.
