Why do today's artists use old classics?
Listening to BEP using 'I've Had the Time of My Life' on their new track.
Why do today's artists use old classic songs as part of their songs? If they are so great surely they could come up with their own music? |

As long as music has existed people have copied each other and used other people's songs. With classical music it was just what was expected to happen and never even drew comment. It's nothing new and there's nothing wrong with it.
And I say that as someone who thinks this Black Eyed Peas song is unremittingly awful. |
