Where can I buy cellophane and other bits to make this Christmassy?

We're kind of brassic this Christmas, my daughter and I have decided to make brownies as gifts for friends and colleagues. We thought we would wrap it in cellophane, I just don't know how to go about it.

Help! Please.

You can buy the cellophane bags from places like Lakeland, or have a look on eBay? I've got a cake accessories shop near me and they sell them too, do you have anything like that near you?

I think eBay will be your best bet then, or also on line, I think Jane Asher sells stuff like that on her website, Lakeland also has a website. If it's just cellophane you want rather than the bags, card shops sell cellophane, failing that, you could always ask at a florist as they use a lot of cellophane and could probably sell you a few sheets.

I bought some bags and a roll of printed celowrap (has snowflakes on it, looks really pretty) from Ebay. Really cheap and there was a big selection.

Also got some ribbon to tie them with.

You can get cellophane from a floristry shop - they sell it by the metre.

I ended Googling and found a cake and craft shop. I've ordered some, it cost just over £2 for 10 sparkly stars cellophane bags, with postage, just over £7!!

But time is of the essence as we break up next Friday.

Thanks for all your replies, much appreciated

I bought some cellophane bags from Sainsburys, not sure on the size as I haven't opened them but I am wanting to put christmas bon bon type things in them. A pack of 10 for £2.99. They had a silver base with silver ribbon to tie them.

Will see if I can find a link

I tried that link, it just takes me to the main Sainsbury's website, I logged in, searched cellophane and it found no results.

Thanks anyway, as I said above, I have now ordered some.

Thanks for your help anyway, if I don't like the ones I buy I may end up getting them from Sainsbury's. So all is not lost!

Seen them Mummypigget, thanks.

How many are you planning on giving to each person?

I was planning on doing this with my Chocolate Cherry muffins but feel a bit stingey just giving 1 per person lol

Because it's brownies which cut into cubes, I was going to put 5 in each.

For you perhaps 2- 3?

I was going to do cupcakes and for couples, ie my parents, I was going to do a box of 4.

I decided to make loads of bons bons instead ad go for 5 or 6 depending on how many I can make

I usually get a roll of cellophane from Hobbycraft and some ribbon or raffia.
Pop the cookies in the bottom middle of a piece, gather it up at the top, tie the ribbon round and pop on a homemade label.
Normally costs around £4 for the cellophane and ribbon.

Got so many to make for friends before xmas as its easier than doing cards, but I haven't even started. Need to get to bloody hobbycraft asap

Well, brownies were made last night, placed in cellophane bags, with ribbon and Christmas tags! They were given out today...

They were a hit!

Cool, I would much prefer to receive something like this than smellies!
