Yes, thank you for that. The vast majority of DS members do not hide behind forum anonymity to resort to playground behaviour to call other people names or to be malicious to people that they have obviously never met in person.

That is probably the silliest comment so far.
OK, I will no longer hide ..my name is Henry Hall of Northampton (not really).
Now, does that help you? are you any the wiser?
Your assumption is that I wouldn't pass the same comments about Widdecombe to people I know,
But I wouldn't put a bag over my head. They would know exactly who I was.
.
A Forum is, by its nature "anonymous" as you quaintly put it.
Perhaps you think it shouldn't be.
Or whatever.

What he said.

I can't prove it, but she doesn't look clean or hygienic in my view.

And as for me hiding behind forum anonymity - what else can I do? Would you like me to set up a webcam link so I can pass my opinions out in person?

Good thinking.
Posters who have the temerity to dislike Widdecombe and find her utterly ghastly must now make themselves known by WebCam.

Wrong. My assumption is that you would not pass such comments directly to their face (with no attempt to disguise your face or identity) or in an open letter signed by yourself. And, assuming that you are a mature adult, you (or the other poster) would not resort to silly playground name-calling that befits the behaviour of a child not an adult.

But there was me thinking that this was a mature forum for mature discussions.Sadly, comments similar to those in this thread has proven that to be a misconception.

I 'm not going to continue to give the oxygen of publicity that, for whatever reason, posters of that ilk seem to revel in

I would have thought those that indulge in heavy physical exercise would stink - least that was the case in the forces when washing was a luxury. On that basis AW should be in pristine nick. I can't comment on you as person and stay within the TOU but your posts suck.

All of them? I doubt you have read them all, if you have, you clearly have too much time on your hands.

I'm not going to deny my comments here were frivolous, but it's hardly a serious thread that I am derailing. And I still maintain that she might be a bit wiffy.

Come off it - you just can't stand people who can't stand Widdecombe.
Far too many "matures" "child" "adult" in your post and a truly awful cliche - "the oxygen of publicity"
And, I don't do "ilks"

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to say, but it very much sounds like another unnecessary personal attack on Ann.

What uncouth behaviour - it's just as well you're here to keep order Terry.

There is one poster who really needs to be dealt with now, and I feel like you're just the man to do it. He says things he doesn't believe in order to bait people and provoke a reaction. That's terrible, isn't it Terry?

Your quite right in what you say, posters who hide behind forum anonymity and use its shield to make personal attacks and insults, do so because they know full well that they could be taken to task if their personal attacks and insults were written in an open letter.

The concept of 'forum anonymity' is ridiculous. It's by nature anonymous - what would you prefer people to do if they feel compelled to make any comments?

It might help if I understood your post..
If you are saying people should not break forum rules, fair enough,
If you are saying people should not express opinions about Widdecombe which are are contrary to your opinions, you are being arrogant.
I really don't know what "being taken to task" means if I should write a personal letter to Widdecombe.
You mean she would come and spank me?
In short, your post is either nonsensical or arrogant.

Now I can easily believe she's 10 stone, she's only short which doesn't help but if you look at her when she's training, her legs aren't big and she has a waist. The clothes she wears do absolutely nothing for her. Plus she has rotten posture.

As someone said earlier in the thread she needs decent 'foundation garments'. Personally I reckon a makeover from Trinny and Susanne and she'd be transformed.
