I would be. But not because of Savile but because it's pants!

Bit off topic but Christmas related... Apparently the Smooth Radio Christmas music channel will be on air on DAB from 10am on 29th October!

I'd like to see C4 do a new 'Top 100 Xmas moments' but not with Jimmy Carr who I think did it last time

The more I think about it the more I'm convinced there is enough 'Christmas TV' to sustain a 'Christmas TV Channel' showing old shows and specials from over the years. Lets face it, the Music TV Channels and Radio Stations do this with a limited number of Christmas Songs, so why not TV?

I agree - if bbc can have endless reruns of QI, Top Gear and the like on Dave or Gold, then why not Morecambe & Wise specials, some mothers do 'ave 'em etc? A Dave Christmas channel perhaps?

UK Gold and Dave usually have Xmas specials on a loop during December.

The brilliant idea is LinusJ's site showing some vintage Radio and TV Times. I can still remember vividly some of the later ones.

Correct me if I'm wrong on any of these, but today it is...

- 4 weeks until the BBC's Christmas line-up will be revealed alongside Digiguide's Christmas listings
- 6 weeks and 2 days until the Christmas Radio Times is released; and
- exactly 2 months until Christmas itself!

Oh! And perhaps 1 month until the BBC give us the sequel to this joyous little video?

Think 4 weeks time is a bit hopeful I believe BBC media centre will be revealing Christmas highlights on Monday 26th November with full details not being available until the following week.

On a different note here's another sign that Christmas is on the way, http://www.norphil.co.uk/2012/11a-Christmas12.htm

The stamps are lovely aren't they?! Working in the Post Office I have had the honour of seeing them already and they really are nice this year. They go on sale on Tuesday November 6th.

Anyone know why the Queen's Speech was moved from 9.30am to 3pm way-back-when?

Probably because in the mid-50's Christmas Day TV didn't broadcast early enough.

For example ITV in 1955 programmes didn't start until 2pm.
