Children's programmes will be leaving BBC1 & BBC2 early in the New Year.

This is what the BBC have got lined up to replace them

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2012...time-overhaul?

Be interesting to see what they do for Christmas 2013!

Have finally finished reading through mine - took three evenings! No complaints about the £2.80 cover price here - could go up to £4 for all I care as I think it's as entertaining as a cheap DVD.

But... relatively few festive programmes compared to previous years - could be my imagination.

So, 11 months and 15 days after first posting on here, I finally get the 2012 Christmas Radio Times. All good things come to those that wait!

Will look through it later tonight.

No Boxing Day schedule can be as dull as BBC1's was in 2010.

Anyone feel sad that now the schedules are on the EPGs we have nothing to discuss? Lets discuss rating predictions!

I hope Miranda does really well! I'm slightly worried for EE, but I'm confident it will do well, just hope it isn't crushed by DA. But it wasn't last year so hopefully it won't be this year either

Do you think the movies will get high ratings? Tangled is a great choice for ITV, I havent seen a good movie on ITV on Christmas day for ages! I think the BBC have got some fantastic recent movies. Up, Shrek, Alice, Princess & frog, A christmas Carol should all do well! Fingers crossed for some huge movie ratings!

I'm away on my trip to the US tomorrow so i'm going to have to spend a bit of time programming the Tivo this evening! To be honest i haven't found many non-film programmes that I want to watch though - I think the Royle Family is the only think i'm recording Christmas day.

Any tips welcome!

This may be a controversial view but I think they could make it even better with a cheap cover mount DVD. For a lot of people the radio times is chosen in preference because of the film listings, if there was a film they honestly and impartially gave 4 stars to that was able be given as a cheap cover mount (e.g last orders- excellent film, last spotted on cex website for about 25p) or the whistle blower (80s Michael Caine film- done as a covermount by a tabloid a few years back) then it would be truly awesome.

I saw tangled in 3d on release on a preview for free, not bad for a kids film, nephew enjoyed it (he is 8)

Snowman and snowdog could do well for c4
