Good phone under £200
Hello, My sister really wants a new phone. Idealy, she wants an iPhone, but it is A little bit too expensive. Can anyone reccomend some sort of phone that has android, or failing that, symbian, that is under £150, but if not possible, could stretch to £200.
She was originaly looking at this (due to the low price) http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...er/5186101.htm But she cannot find it in stock anywhere |

Dont waste ur time with the Wildfire....theres a better phone for cheaper price...
Orange San Francisco aka ZTE Blade, has far more technology packed in it for a cheape price in comparison to the Wildfire also has a much better screen resolution. http://shop.orange.co.uk/mobile-phon...Orange-in-grey Admittedly the white is much nicer, has a better quality feel to it. Should be available instores. |

What about the Sony ericsson X8? It runs android and has 4 out of 5 stars.
Here is the review- http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/s...-xperia-x8.htm You might want to check stock for your area but this is the cheapest I can find it- http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...htext%3EX8.htm It's currently £50 off. it costs £129.99 plus £10 top up. |

If the camera is not that important then there is really no contest - the Blade wins hands down against the Wildfire and the X8, it really is a mobile device not just a phone.

Samsung Wave (very close to Iphone)
Nokia N8 - Very cool phone. Consider one of these. Avoid Blackberrys and HTC way to common!

Is this your primary basis for your choice of technology?
![]() HTC fine if you want to run Android however Samsung has better phones in this field right now. Windows phone is way too early to consider. People say the Iphone is popular but I see more Blackberrys than Iphone 4's. Nobody can afford them. ![]() Reminds me of the Golf advert "It's like a Golf, but it's not a Golf" "It's like an Iphone, but it's not an Iphone".

You can get the 4G version SIM free (Amazon and Tesco do it for that). Here is the SIM free one at Tesco: http://shop.tescomobile.com/pay-as-y...+4g?deal=15637 Also Tesco do some decent mobile contracts for the Moto G 4G and you also get 4G included for free with Tesco: http://shop.tescomobile.com/pay-mont...iff?deal=15169 The above deals are a free phone and only £9/month for 500mb DATA, but it's prob worth going for the £11.50/month deal for 2GB data/month with 750mins and 5000 texts. Tesco uses the O2 network. |

I'd imagine that, three and a half years on, the OP's sister has found a satisfactory phone by now. Who knows, maybe she's been through two or three.
Why do people insist on dredging up past, no longer relevant threads and adding practically zero to them? |

Also as said above this thread is 3 or 4 years old now and they will have picked a mobile by now and may even have yet another one by this time. Darren |

And considering 2nd hand value is important to some, mine has likely lost all of £40, bought PAYG for £80. Or was it £85? eek:. |

I didn't realise that mine was now close to 4 years old. The original battery is running fine, at a guess has lost 25%.
