Thankfully she has gone before Anton's back has given out. If only the various 'celebs' would put in as much as Pamela has - she is giving it 110% both physically and emtionally. We have seen plenty of potentially good dancers who simply didn't give enough.

And there was also that beautiful dance Anton and Erin did on the results show - thankfully we got a reminder of just how good he is at ballroom. Shame about his Latin though - he will probably never win even with a partner giving as much as Pamela is.

BTW to further sing Pamela's praises, she is delightfully modest as well. And at least we didn't have to endure a chap who couldn't improve pleading every week to get to Blackpool as that was where he came from.

Ann was a perfect example of what the show should be, but it offends the eyes of people who have a strange attraction to feet.”

You seem to have a strange attraction to disoriented old women on the dance floor. Not sure its not a worse fetish. I'd take looking at a foot over Ann Widdecombe any day!

Is it just me that's got that flipping Madonna song stuck in their head now thanks to the title of this thread

Nope, I just have a strange attraction to being entertained, rather than bored out of my empty little skull!

Regardless of who's been on this year, this has been an insultingly gimmicky programme, from the stupid football motifs sewn on to Shilton's jacket, through Henson's idiotic silver rugby ball, and on to the frankly pathetic Austin Powers outfit last Saturday. They are there because the audience is assumed to be very thick, and because not enough of the contestants are deemed to be entertaining as well as competant. The show has lacked a Ramprakash or Dixon contestant with a bit of wow factor for a while now, and, most insultingly of all, in their place are over-hyped figures such as Stephenson and a man who is supposed to be so tired he sleeps on his feet (all covered with camera work that can't be bothered to track the supposedly 'brilliant' footwork). If more people moaned about all of that instead of lighting torches and grabbing pitchforks because one - yes, one - of the many participants offends their deludedly lofty standards, the forum would be a saner place, if not this once-good show.

Yes, her critique of all the Latin dances ever will be well worth a listen

Ooh, I've been asking for weeks what's entertaining about Ann's performances. Can you enlighten me? Is it the skill? The beauty? The artistic interpretation? The sophisticated, Wildean wit? What is it?

If you haven't worked it out by now, I am afraid that you are doomed to a life of not knowing

Yes I would stick to trying to wind people up on the X factor forum.

I love the avoidance of the clear fact that the GBP didnt vote to keep Ann in in favour of some massive conspiracy of The Purity of Daaaahnce Clan who waved their magic pitchforks and 'forced' Ann out of the show

You mean it's beyond rational explanation?

I suspected as much.

I'm very glad they've gone but I fear they have already been the nail in SCD's coffin. Unless they go back next series to genuine wannabe dancers - but I should think they'll go for the tacky option of finding someone even more physically incapable, for the grinning mob to roar at.”

Discriminating against people who are less physically able is wrong, dance is for everyone not just the plastic permatanned perfectionists.

Unless it's a competition to find the best dancer.

I must ask again: what is wrong with seeking perfection? Do you ever watch any sports where the better the technique, the better the player? Jimmy White, say?

Perhaps your empty little skull just can't handle true entertainment? You seem to be enjoying yourself on here today though with your trolling.

But it helps if the contestant is trying and doesn't veto almost every other step as being too explicit or sexy and actually attempts a routine on the odd occasion. She was ridiculous and a waste of time, pretty much like these threads that seem to be proliferating even after she's left. Yes, I know, don't feed the troll.
