Is there anything more dissapointing or boring than an empty porkpie, all you get is soggy pastry and no interesting substance .

An empty Holland's meat pie... that would be a mighty amount more disappointing!

I've never liked Pork pies; they're too greasy, stodgy and stay around for longer than necessary.

Not in my house, which would account for my Ann Widdecombe-like figure.

Anyway, as much as I love pies... this is the Strictly board... and pies are somewhat off-topic.

Yes that about sums it up.

What we got left Gavin - hell the people from Rorke's Drift must be turning in their graves. A insult to Wales; every time I see him I hum this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQZmCJUSC6g

The old grey mare that gets 10's for turning up. She may have done a bit once now she just yaps about it ad nauseum.

The professional whinge bag who never stops moaning about how hard his life is. Any excuse will do I suppose.

The single one with the awful voice. It is no surprise she's single.

Oh and the farmer who does flips. Perhaps he should enter for the Olympics.

Strictly Come Dancing is a Saturday night light entertainment show not a competition, and the voting viewers are encouraged to vote for their favourite couples.

I hope you don't mind me nominating this for post of the day bobajot - wonderfully crabby summary of the current state-of-play.

You can't have your cake and eat it if it's wrong for it being a personality contest then that leaves it as a dancing contest and were does that leave your beloved Ann.

Ann was a perfect example of what the show should be, but it offends the eyes of people who have a strange attraction to feet.”

And yet here you are taking time to start a thread about it on a forum.

I'm pleased your weekend evenings are now free from having to watch this Walking with Rhythm show, now all the entertainment has gone for you. I mean, why else watch it now?

And don't forget the arms and hands. Have you learned anything?

We're celebrating, mate, just celebrating!!

The hangovers will come later.

Now we can watch shows that have 100% efforts at good dancing. Our Gav, even if he may not always succeed, at least always tries.

Not sure if you're a FM, a WUM, or just a case of acute peptic ulcer. If the latter, get well soon.

Definitely not a peptic ulcer. WUM's I would have thought referred to some of the people who were rank nasty about AW. I did FM donkeys years ago I think I even built a set with discrimination http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0Gx5YqefoE but its now the age of the digit. Digits raise many interesting trains of thought but I can guess the one for the Mare would be in anticipation of an appearance of the rampant druid.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaarrrgh, the Rampant Druid!

Now cannot sleep.

I buried the Night Mare with aid of many bottles of vodka - no time to recycle the empties, so she's probably generating good methane by now.

I would say that if we must have a figure of fun every year on Strictly, at least do us all a favour and make it someone who is genuinely funny. Someone whom we can all really look foward to laughing with/at every week. Do we really need some sour-faced old politician, there is no joy in seeing their feeble attempts..unless they are truly suffering painfully for their appearance money.

This OP has a history of starting contentious threads. Evidently a troll-in-training!

You have said exactly what I think. We want someone who genuinely wants to try and dance. The last one didn't even attempt it.

I loved Anne and Anton, hilarious. I loved her no nonsense approach to life and sometime she really put everyone else in their place(remember the interviews about the fear of the stairs!!) by stating the obvious!! (We all learnt stairs at 3 years of age!!). If I missed Strictly I was right on to YouTube to see what Anne and Anton had done this week. I will miss them and now we are back to the Z listers desperately trying to win a ghastly glitter ball!! They take it all so seriously, rather sad really. Anne was a breath of fresh air and the whole concept of Strictly is not dancing but to make money for the BBC thru phone in votes!! That is why they asked someone like Anne to be a competitor, look at the headlines she got, the interviews, the constant discussion in the newspapers and with the judges about Anne and Anton!!!!! She was worth her weight in gold to Strictly and the BBC.

Why is Matt so undermarked week after week?

1. The BBC DO NOT make any money from the phone-in votes. How many more times do we have to remind i.....ts about this.

2. The concept of Strictly is for moderatly well known people to learn a new skill for the entertainment of us, the GBP

Which OP is that then? I haven't started a thread certainly this year and I'm not sure about previous ones. I have responded to some rather nasty stuff that seems to be the forte of certain individuals. You are not throwing a wobbly about porkpie surely according to the corrupt on high wobbly's are only relevant when they say they are. I suspect both of these contestants throw lots of wobblies so one should have some sympathy for the judges.
