Ahh that's intersting, I had Twitter then but wasn't really following Aiden as he wasn't a firm favourite of mine, like I didn't even vote after Jealous Guy I'm sorry I'm bad.
But it probably was trending! I didn't even come on DS for about a year, just came back on for more Aiden news after week 3, when I actually fell in love with him.

EDIT: Also why hasn't Aiden tweeted in what feels like SOOOOOO long (I know it was only yesterday lol). I think I'm addicted to his Twitter.

Oh don't you worry, it doesn't take many moments for me to embarrass myself in some sort of way. If the only thing I do is knock down some elaborate christmas display when he's singing, then that'll be a successful trip out for me.

I didn't like Aiden at the start either..I remember wanting him to be one of Dannii's three for Judges Houses though, I think I was more interested in Nicolo at that point.

Oh, I also wanted to say that I seem to be in the minority, but I'm with AliBaba2010 regarding Cher. I think she should (and deserves to) be in the final. And I do like that I honestly believe she has something special about her. What she does isn't to my personal taste, but I'd go so far as to say that if you're really looking for someone with a unique something about them, she in my opinion likely has the most of it of those who are left. I agree that there is an originality to her and a *indefinable something* redolent of the thing Aiden has. It isn't the same way (or as good a thing for me most certainly!), but I believe she has something. She doesn't have the best voice, but there is something about her that an artist needs: in her presence and her vulnerability I suppose. You have to put aside her being Cheryl's minime to remember it, but I do think it's the case. I don't know: it's hard to explain which I guess is the whole point of the X Factor. 'Course I want Matt to win for Aiden and probably it'd be the best for the act themselves for One Direction to win (and I presume they will win) and I guess well done to them for a group haven't ever won. But I'm happy for Cher that she's made the final. I don't read press but I hear she gets a hard time and I don't really see in her what deserves that personally. I do worry if she could easily press self destruct, but there's another thing you have in this area and probably that adds to the quality she has. And of course she's always going to divide opinion. In the real world I wonder if she'd do so even more than Aiden: I feel Aiden has a market out there who would love him, but perhaps Cher's target market is more mainstream, yet more likely to remain divided on their view of her? Anyway, just wanted to chime in here with another side. Respect for her even though I don't love what she does personally. And of course respect for Mary, but other than the fact she'd have annoyed Simon the most I reckon had she won, I think it was her time to leave now.

I agree with that. And out of the final four, I think Cher has the best chance of a successful career. Lots of people took the mic out of her when she said she wants to bring something new to English music, because it's already been done, but the fact is Cher IS current, and you do need something a bit different to make it in the music industry nowadays. Rebecca also, although I find her very boring on the show, her unique voice has a potential in the market. One Direction, I think will do well, but not as well as people are expecting. Matt is the hardest one to predict. I think he will win, but males winning don't have the best track record with Syco. And besides the x-factor bubble, I'm not sure exactly where he fits in...

Also I was thinking, imagine if Aiden had made it to the semi-final and got in the top 5, and then there was a sing-off and he was voted out in favour of Cher, just ONE week away from the big final, one week away from duets. I think that would've been a FAR FAR worse situation.

Woo part 3 finally!!

Nooo is Aiden coming to Central London tomorrow evening??? Oh damnit! Ive been waiting for him to come to London at a reasonable time for aaaagesss, and he comes on a Tuesday - the only day I have work in the evening !! *hopes there's a snowstorm and Aiden has to postpone till Wednesday*

Regarding Cher...I want to like her (cause Aiden does) but I just can't warm to her. Sometimes it's the things she says and the way she says them, and just her on-stage persona does turn me off too. Also the fact that she's Cheryl's mini-me doesnt help and how Simon is manipulating the show from left, right and center to keep in Cheryl's acts is just sickening, for that reason I can't warm to any of the girl's this year.

Regarding Danni's decision last night, I think she chose Cher cause Cher listened to Danni and sang a ballad. Danni would've been perceived as being hypocritical if she hadn't picked her after that.

I'm not sure whether to go to Selfridges tomorrow... I live in North London and it would be easy for me to get to Tottenham Hale and then the Victoria line from there. I've got to disagree there. I think Cher is far too inauthentic in her chosen style to be successful long term. I don't get the same passion for the music she likes from her as say Aiden, Matt, Rebecca or even, dare I say it, Katie. She seems like she likes hiphop/r'n'b because it's the current trendy thing.

If there's anyone benefiting from the XFactor bubble effect it's her. She's original in the context of people on the show, but outside of that not so much.
