Aww, thanks everyone! I tried to make each one ‘fit’ each performance, like how the Thriller one looks kind of ‘horror movie’ , the DAF is supposed to look Bond-esque etc. I’m not sure if I like all of tem but it’ll have to do lol. Glad you all like it though, so hope our Mr Grimshaw does too

You know..Ive also wondered if Cher genuinely has a passion for HipHop music, or was it just a way of getting through the auditions/bootcamp cause she had something different to offer, or otherwise she would not have gotten through the first round if she sang a Britney song in her audition.

Yeah, I heard that she tried for X Factor a few years back (when the minimum age was 14) but she did a ballad and didn't get through, she's now modelled herself on Cheryl and done something different...

This is why I love Aiden! He truly is what he is. He even said the first song he ever bought was a song by the Red Hot Chillis!

When I was 14 my tastes were VERY different to what they are now at 18... I was the most massivest S-Club Juniors fan..... Now the idea of listening to and enjoying their music turns my stomach... My favourite acts now are The Cure and The Talking Heads. Perhaps Cher's tastes changed. Heck, Aiden used to perform swing. SWING for God's sake... Personally I think Cher IS the type of person that we see on stage... I don't see it as an act the same way I didn't see Aiden's style as an act and I feel that she has the potential to be a credible Hiphop artist.

Yep I agree with you. The thing is everyone's jumped on this hating Cher bandwagon, because of Simon's overhyping, and due to Cheryl being her mentor, being early favourite etc etc. But lots of celebrities have liked her including, apparently Jay-Z. With the right material, I reckon Cher could be very successful. I don't think we have a right to say she hasn't got a passion for music though. I do find her personality a bit bizzare in general, I have to say, but she is interesting as a performer and her audition remains one of my favourite ever.

Based on her audition alone she should be in the final. Its the manner in which she got there thats annoying & the fact that cowell continues to manipulate things to ensure his personal favourites are in the final or at least that tweedy is happy. Its the same dispicable manipulation that saw Aiden unfairly sacrificed for Katie. Cher is unique, different, divisive - as is Aiden - I don't think she's as talented as Aiden & he has the potential to be sucessful for a longer time span. Whether Cher wins or not she'll be sucessful - not sure whether it will be long term sucess though.

Re Cher - I fully respect everyone who likes her, everyone has different people who they relate to for different reasons and I think that's a good thing. For me though, I've never warmed to her, personality or performance wise. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the girl or even dislike her.

I guess first off performance wise she's never cut it for me. If she had every week, taken a song and put her own spin on it with the rapping then fair play. I may not have liked it, but I could have accepted she was being her own individual artist. Instead for me every week she either did a song that already had rapping with it or did a ballad. She showed no sort of artistic individuality for me. I'm not entirely blaming her, I think Cheryl has to shoulder a lot of the blame.

Although I don't think she ever really successfully 'made a song her own' I didn't mind some of her performances. I thought something like 'Girlfriend' suited her. It was frivilous and young and think she is probably at her best when she was doing songs like that. I didn't like Stay, Imagine or Love the Way You Lie at all. I don't think she has the maturity or sincerity in her performances to even attempt songs of that depth. Again, not her fault, she shouldn't have been given the songs. To me it was like watching a little girl playing dress up. taking on those big songs made her seem younger than 17 to me.

I guess we don't really know what the contestants are like in terms of character and if they are disruptive at all. Although I believe there is an air of truth in Cher's, by what Brian Friedman said on the Xtra Factor the other day and also by the way Simon and Cheryl keep saying, 'we have to remember she's just 17'. That excuse doesn't buy it with me. when I was 17 I had jobs and responsibilities and I never went about being a little madam in any of them. Plus Aiden, Paige and 1Direction are all under 20 and they are as good as gold.

Anywho, just my opinion! I may be a little grouchy. I'm hungry. Even though I've just eaten. It's the cold weather, my body craves food all the time just in case I get snowed in again and have to survive off my body fat.

I think we have every right, as an audience evaluating an art form, to say whether we think there is passion in her performances.

Joe McElderry may have been technically faultless as a singer but he did nothing for me on an emotional level (well I feel sorry that his comeback has gone pearshaped, I can't see SyCo being too understanding with his underformance and he seems like seems too nice and too young to be put through the wringer so quickly). Aiden on the other hand wasn't always in tune, could hit more than a few bum notes but it mattered not a jot because he connected so well with the songs and communicated that.

Edit: Just to add, I agree the hate is ridiculous. Whatever shenagins and manipulations have gone on she isn't the author of them. And honestly I think she should have gone through over Mary. I really did not rate Mary as a singer at all and it's one of my biggest pet peeves about this sort of thing that a lot of people think that somebody is a great singer just because they can throw a lot of power behind a note.

Morever I actually think Mary has been second only to Katie in being manipulative and trying to play for sympathy votes and that's something I really dislike.

I LOVED Miss Frank last year, especially Graziella (the one who rapped). They took a song and added their own rap to it, and I remember during Thats Life...her rap was really funny. Its a shame they didnt have the support that they should've.

Cher's audition was a bit meh for me too. I suppose each to their own .

And Re: Cher, her audition was great and so was the 1st live show, but tbh I'm not a fan of her or her music style. Maybe if she did freestyle rapping then I would like her a bit. Anyways, SIMON is the one who has made her so disliked by showering all this OTT praise. I feel a bit sorry for her as she didn't ask for this to happen and she is recieving all the backlash whilst SC and Cheryl are getting away scot free.

Regarding the whole Cher/Mary debacle, I honestly don't think who STAYED would've mattered to me; however, I can assume that Cher is a favorite of the producers, and at the last minute they changed it so that Cher could be saved to make it into the final.

Having said that, I don't think Mary had or Cher has a chance of winning the whole thing.

@blue_angel I agree with you about Stay, Imagine and Love The Way You Lie. They did seemed quite disingenuous, but I don't think that that was down to Cher. Outside of the context of the show she wouldn't normally do that type of track because they are too "intense", but in the context of the show she needed those types of performance to grab the attention of floating voters, something Aiden perhaps failed to do (rightly so, he wouldn't want fans for fans sake)... She's at her best when she sticks to what she knows. My favourite performance of hers is Just Be Good To Me, because it seemed to be her through and through.

Oh that's a good point that you brought up because it's another thing that kind of niggles me. The fact that she (and her mentor) deliberately played for votes by being as least controversial as possible in her song choices and arrangement. To be fair it worked, she's in the final. Where as Aiden never did, if he had pandered he'd probably be in the final in my opinion. I think maybe Cher didn't do herself any favours by saying how she was going to stay true to herself one day and then 24 hrs later going back on that.

Yes I agree, although she didn't do anything new to Just Be Good To Me, I think it showed what sort of music she would make outside of the competition. I honestly hope she does go away and is given time to learn a bit and make music suited to her and isn't manipulated into turning into a mini Cheryl.

I have to say, even though it might have won him more floating votes and the likes of Golddigger and Bonkers showing he was capable of it, I like Aiden all the more for sticking to his guns and not giving into Cheryl's ridiculous 'intense' criticism.

I actually think Aiden's confidence in his own style is the reason he was treated in the same manner as the older contestants, rather than the kid gloves and 'oh but they're so young' talk that Cher and 1D get.

Edit: I think it would help Cher immensely in the future if she faced up to one simple truth, she cannot rap for toffee. Decent enough at singing (especially in a world where Cheryl Cole has no.1 albums), but pants at rapping.
