No you're right, the judges have been all over the place with their marking this series, apart from Craig, who is the only one that scores Gavin realistically (I can sense Ignazio seething!!).

Maybe me and the Dishy Dane should go out on a date sometime - seeing as we have so much in common (I can sense Ignazio seething even more!!)

Why? Because they're not being asked why they didnt give him four 10s, which is ALL that is being asked in relation to Kara. The pertinent question would be why Pamela's apparent stumble was not remarked upon or reflected in the votes.
They cant comment on every single criteria that lead to every single score - where would they find the time?

I agree that Craig is the only one who marks Gavin with any degree of rationality. As much as I love him I know his dancing is not very good. I definately don't want him to win, but he does cheer my Saturday nights up.

If the Dishy Dane ever sees sense and dumps me I will be sure to pass his number on to you

That's down to Craig.

If Len had his way, Gavin and Kara would have been tied at the weekend

I agree wit you on that kara is by far better than gavin but also way better than pamela IMO and was very deserving of a 10!

I thought both women were head and shoulders above the rest

Usually I prefer Kara to Pamela, but on this occasion I thought they were equally deserving of full marks.

I just felt kara's routine was a lot more complex and executed just as well as honestly thought she would get all 10's. As for pamela im not her biggest fan so that may be why i prefered kara's so much more

Nope not seething. I do sometimes think Craig's score has been a mark shy of what he deserved but I've always thought his place on the leaderboard justified. Moreover I don't think the judges have to take into account the awful 'j' word, his efforts, his starting point or his sense of humour - that's where the public vote comes in.

Long may it be so!

Apart from one week (quickstep ?) Gavin has been near the bottom of the leaderboard and barring any amazingness on his part or crapness on anyone elses part he will be bottom this week.....why does it matter if every little thing he doesnt get right or wrong isnt commented on and marked down when he is below all the others on the leaderboard anyway....???

Gavin is the odd one out from the 'fab four' he has had absolutely ZERO dance experience and is in a world completely outside his comfort zone, many of you dont see what his fans see in him....thats fine.....but a lot of people enjoy his humour and the lovely relationship with Katya so I am really happy he has exceeded his own expectations. He has absolutely nothing to loose now he has not gone out like a wimp he has stuck to it worked hard and achieved quite a lot when you compare him to the likes of Matt and Pamela who have quite a lot of previous dance experience and Kara and Scott who are actors.

He finished second from bottom last week - does that suggest that he was marked leniently?

I know there are better dancers - but for me Gavin is the only one who, starting from scratch, has made the most improvement and for as long as he's in the competition I'll put my money where my mouth is.”

Well said Ignazio,,I am always drawn to someone who starts off pretty badly and has to work so very hard to improve which Gavin has done. True that none of the others are professional dancers but the actor/actress obviously has an advantage with the performance part of the dance. So he has to overcome this as well.I think he has made remarkable improvement and I will vote for him too.

I guess that's a fair comment. I must admit that some of the protests on this thread were quite irrational, as if I was singling Gavin out and being unfair to this poor little rugby player who "slips and slides for a living". Well, actually, since he slips and slides for a living on a slippery rugby pitch, even more reason he should be able to control it.

All I was doing was saying that if Kara's "wobble" was to be mentioned, then so should Gavin's. Yet there were howls of passionate protest from some of Gavin's supporters. I suppose that's to be expected. I actually do think he's improved, but will be very unhappy if he gets to the final at the expense of a better dancer.
