Has anyone figured out how to transfer and play files on the Foxsat HDR ?

I can transfer from the Foxsat HDR and play directly from within Windows 7 with media player, works perfectly.

But I wonder how to do the reverse !

You need a programme by Raydon a regular contributor to the apparently defunct hummy.org. This builds the two support files required for external playback.(AV2HDR). If Raydon reads this post perhaps he will post a link to the original files.

If not I can upload a copy of the zip but would rather get his permission first.

PM me if you want more details

There's some useful info, including a link to the AV2HDR program, on this site: http://video2hdr.blogspot.com/
(not my site or anything, just Googled for AV2HDR Video Importer)

Thanks for that, got it and it works fine, except the audio played with breaks and oddly enough the volume control had no effect !!

Strange I have used it loads of times without problems. What format is the sound track ? AV2HDR will give you all the parameters when you open the file, copy and paste them into a posting

Just tried another video file and it worked perfectly. It must have something to do with the original audio. I'll look at that a bit more.

Thanks for the feedback.

I ended up with no audio on my hd files then used tsMuxeR (free)
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/tsMuxeR
on the ts file before using AV2HDR and this gave me my sound back.I'm pretty sure it stops out of synch audio as well.

I have a Sony 3D HDTV and part of the reason I wanted to upload files to the Foxsat HDR is to play 3D trailers which I can keep stored there.

I can of course play them directly with a USB memory stick but that is less convenient.

I now have two 3D trailers stored on the Humax and they play perfectly.

Interestingly when I try to convert an mpg 3D trailer, AV2HDR does not work. It shows the error " no video stream detected"

The file needs to be a .ts and then it works and sound is also perfect.

So i tried another experiment and that was to convert an mpg to ts, which I did. And....the sound was completely messed up.

So I downloaded the file suggested by boyzie and processed it with that.

100% success !!!...Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Try converting with TSmuxergui, output as mts.
