Tring is in Hertfordshire, just north of London. The farm is in Northumberland which is on the borders between England and Scotland. At least 400 miles if not more.

And shame on you for not knowing the geography of your own country. Presumably it is your own country.

Not all people who go to stage school continue with that career.

Great thread OP!

I like all of the final five too and haven't done the poll about who my second favourite because I just don't know!

A bit harsh! Tring is not exactly a huge place - there must be lots of people who wouldn't know where it is! Now Northumberland yes - that would be expected as it is a county - but not a smallish town like Tring!

Sorry you thought I was harsh but the georgraphy knowledge of this country is appalling - not you necessarily but the people who go onto quizzes and say "Geography isn't my best subject"!

Not to mention the spelling.

I agree with bigears, except that I dont mind which of Scott, Kara, Matt or Pamela wins.

I've liked just about everyone on the show.

I think Matt has had to work hard, is a fast learner, can do almost anything well, and is overall, a very good dancer but still needs a few refinements on technique.

I think Scott is exceptionally good at ballroom and a mixed bag at latin. He has had to work hard too and that is mentally draining.

Kara is basically faultless and easily the best dancer. IMO she was also easily the best dancer when she arrived on the show though.

Pamela shows good technique at times and dances both ballroom and latin well. She sells the dance better than anyone. Limited a bit by age and fitness, but has improved on weight/fitness.

I currently dont expect to vote in the final, as I dont mind who wins.

I agree with this, I'm sure I don't know where every little town in Cornwall is, and just because Tring is near London (centre of the world doesn't mean that everyone needs to know where it is.

With regards to the farming issue, I was a great fan of Matt during Blue Peter and Crufts and other stuff, and I know that he is a presenter. However, he has been introduced as a farmer, he talks about farming and farm animals himself, we had photoshoots with him and Aliona in the hay, so it's not completely irrational to call him a farm boy. There is nothing wrong with being a farmer anyway, and I'm sure Matt is very proud of being linked to his family's farm (he did a special programme on the farm for Blue Peter with his dog Meg), and he mentioned then that he liked to help out.

I like all the final 5, and I would say that if any of the fab four will win, I'm very happy.

I think we might have an exciting weekend in front of us.

I felt that way last week. Yes, even Ann had her place in the competition. I thought the 6 of them made for a very interesting and charismatic dance troupe, in a way.

I have actually enjoyed this series, the more mature contestsants have added something to the entertainment.

Felicity was a delight,Pamela a phenomena and Ann was unforgetable.

With reagrd to the final 5
Gavin - has improved but still nowhere near the standard of the others.
Scott -lovely ballroom but not loose enough for latin
Pamela - just terrific at the straight routines
Matt- enormous potential has yet to do his best dance - when it all finally clicks it will be phenomenal
Kara -most naturally talented of the bunch

The great thing as we've neared the final is that everybody has had a bit of an 'off' week (Kara's jive, Matt's divisive AS, Gavin's jive, Pamela's jive and arguably her tango, Scott's rumba and AS). It's great because it's allowed us to see that nobody is invulnerable to pressure and nobody is expecting their final place to be a gimme.

I'd prefer Gavin not to win as he's just not as technically capable as the others. Of the other four, it's going to come down to who does the best job overall - and that, IMO, is exactly as it should be.

I think you might just have morphed into me again. What a strange year, I honestly won't be upset if any of the fab four wins, particularly if they pull an outstanding dance out of the bag (in the semis and the final).

For me.......

Scott - has a great personality and has been fantastic in lots of dances especially at the start however he's had a few bad weeks unfortunetly.

Kara - Love her and Artem. She's been extremly consistent and is the best technical dancer. She probobaly should win her tango, a. tango, paso, american smooth and salsa have all been amazing.

Pamela - I love her and James. I cannot believe she's 61. Her dances particulary the V. Waltz and Rumba (and that was only week 3) were amazing. She's amazing at ballroom and enjoyable to watch at latin.

Matt is a great dancer. I think he'll probobaly win as he has a good personality matched with great dancing and I'd be happy if he won.

Gavin - Has a nice body. I won't comment on his dancing seeing as it's a positive thread.

I'm really loving SCD this year. One of the best years the only problem was Jimi went far far too early.
