Voting with a vagina would indeed require certain modification to the average mobile phones, but those with touch screens are possibly at an advantage - and should be wiped clean with Dettol afterwards.

I will say that there's an excess of attention on appearance, and that some of the attacks are focussed more on women than on men.

And if Ann had been able to dance, or even had tried to dance, I'd have no problems with her being in for as long as she was.

Gavin, however, despite being basically pretty rubbish, seems to have sailed through.

Well to be fair, Pam is very very weird.

I know that, but clearly the actual point has been lost on some people, who regard this as a Gavin-attack thread,

What about Chris Parker or even Julian Clary then?

He doesn't exhibit the arrogance of Ann towards the judges, and he doesn't beg for votes.
He doesn't think he's funny or witty, unlike Ann who thought she was hilarious,,and people who think that usually aren't.
I also think it's time he went, but please don't compare him to AW..nobody deserves that ! ”

I agree.

I will leave it in your capable hands then and look forward to seeing your replies.

To the OP I apologise for veering off from your original topic and understood fully the point you were making as I have said I was replying to some points raised in other posts.

To answer your OP I do not feel hypocritical because I didn't have a problem with Ann being there she had more votes than others so she deserved to be there and feel the same about Gavin

I definitely think that Gavin has improved and works as hard as the rest of the contestants. He is also as determined as the rest of them. But I do think he is the weakest dancer out of all of them in both technique and performance, and in my opinion should not be in the final. Personally I feel Kara and Matt should definitely be in the final and whoever is better in the semi's between Pamela and Scott should also be in the final.

Things seem to have spiraled out of control while I have been away for half an hour, but it is fair to say that Gavin's flesh flashing has encouraged the girls to vote with their hearts for him, but the girls might argue unconvincingly that they are looking past his peacock displays to his engaging personality. It may not be a conscious decision by the girls, because Gavin is cleverly using his body as a sort of subliminal cut to get their votes.

I think I voted for Emma Bunton (to be perfectly honest, I don't remember but I must have). It was at the end when I thought she should definitely be in the final, if not win it because she was clearly the best dancer. But I didn't like her as a person. I found her cold and a little moany. But she was a great dancer and should have won. So it's not true that I wouldn't vote for someone I didn't like, sorry.

Get a reply? I think you're going to be waiting for that one. But should he decide to reply, perhaps he can answer my queries as to whether a) he dances or b) has Ann inspired him to dance and c) what is so wrong with seeking perfection.

Kudos once more, that's the second time you've made me laugh today.

Jeez, never mind the lack of tattoos and guitar playing skills, if I ever find myself lusting after someone who has Peter Andre as a musical hero I'll be throwing myself under the next passing bus

This is much more my thing http://media.photobucket.com/image/n...2/DSCF9155.jpg

But anyway, Tezzer my old mate, how are you going to woo Ann, any plans for a first date?

I'll ask again.

Have you checked the member names to see if the people who criticised Ann for bad dancing are the same people who are now saying they will be voting for Gavin?

How many are there? What proportion of the forum members belong to both subsets: people who criticised Ann for bad dancing AND people who specifically said they were going to vote for Gavin even though he is the worst dancer left?

And how many of those just said they were going to vote for Gavin compared to how many who specified they were going to vote for Gavin EVEN THOUGH HE IS THE WORST DANCER LEFT.

By the time you've narrowed it down that much, I doubt you have many members left.

No you're not. I totally agree that he should go next, absolutely. He should actually have gone weeks ago. What I object to is calling voters for Gavin the same as voters for Ann. I didn't see one Ann fan who claimed she was a good dancer and had progressed and deserved a place in the competition. I have seen Gavin fans say these things. I don't have anything against people who genuinely believe that Gavin is as good as Scott or Kara or whoever because however wrong I think they may be, at least they're basing their decision on dancing. It's when people totally disregard the dancing entirely (like Ann fans) that I don't understand them and get frustrated. It's their right, of course, to vote based on whatever criteria they choose but it's my right to be baffled by it too.

The difference between some Gavin fans and Ann fans is that Gavin fans might just believe he's not a bad dancer and therefore worthy of a place. In my view they'd be totally wrong but it's still better than Ann fans who would say I don't care about dancing, I want to see the old lady stumble about and flap her arms like a dying fish.

ok I dont know if this has been said or not because I have not read through every single post but is it not fair to say that the majority of us don't actually vote for the best dancer, if that were the case our vote would more than likely change every week as each week especially this series its been changing.

People who didnt like ann are still entitled to vote for and support gavin, they are two completley different people and just because some poeple put them in the same 'cant dance' category doesnt mean there right.

Gavin has had some great dances IMO quickstep, cha cha cha, foxtrot and just because he wasnt at the top of the leaderboard doesnt mean people wont vote for him. The judges look at the technical side of things, well when im watching i dont see that, im sorry i look at the vt before hand, the relationship between professional and celebrity, the dance, their attitude, their personality ( which i usually get a good idea of on ITT) and then put all these things together and i will decide who i will vote and for me its gavin and kara! Now beofre the show i had a pre conceived idea of Gavin and my opinion has totally changed and im glad that ive seen the real him on this show.

I didnt like ann and wanted her to leave but i support gavin and i would never clas them as in the same leauge ever!
