Despite her having gone down in my estimations after last week's ugliness, I think she did deserve a "With Regret" firing. She was a good candidate.

Stella is stronger and Stu gave one hell of a pitch. Very good candidate, probably the sexiest ever candidate, but it was the right decision. - she didn't back it up in the boardroom unfortunately.

I know someone got one this year, but I can't remember who.
Alex?? They're always a bit random though, Mona got one last year and I didn't see any reason why she got it rather than anyone else. |

He may not of said it but I've never seen SAS look away and down as much as this when firing someone. I think he felt bad about it for whatever reason.....

Well, it was tough one. Maybe he was looking so shifty because he knew he was keeping Baggs for all the wrong reasons.
Stuart can be moulded into whatever he wants him to be. Stuart can be quite impressive in some ways and also amusing but not without many flaws. I loved the bit where he said they had mutual respect for each other over the turf wars with Chris, I think he makes SAS giggle. |

![]() Liz being fired was a complete shock. I was sure it was going to be Stella as Stuart would be kept in to further entertain or annoy the viewers. |

I hope you're referring to Liz there and not Stuart!

Because Sugar clearly didn't like her on a personal level. That much has been clear for a few weeks now. He only gives them to people he really likes but knows he has to get rid of, Raef who he also didn't like never got a 'with regret' either.

That was interesting indeed. I wonder what Nick and Karen thought.
I was also suprised that Alan Sugar didn't mention Stella's rotten idea of Cockney London and then getting lost with her bemused group of tourists. |

...and there has been at least one firing in the past where SAS (as he was then) didn't say "with regret" in the main programme but did when the firing was shown on the BBC2 programme.
So there's an element of editing in this too. |

I dont know why you think the idea of cockney london is so rotten. The tourists have no idea what its supposed to be in advance. They have come from the US to see the quaint old country. True Stella had no idea how to go about it but they werent to know.
It seems LS only takes on people with previous business experience. So why put Liz on the show in the first place. Same with chris and stella. |

I thought that the 'with regret' was present in his tone if not in his actual words.

Well I wasn't surprised because it's usually the ones who Sugar likes but for some reason doesn't think they're up to it who get the with regret firing (think Simon of Series 4 or James of Series 5). It's more of a personality thing and I don't think he was bowled over by Liz on that front.

Didn't he say "let you go" instead of "you're fired"
That's even softer than a with regret I think |

Not sure about the nice bit. I doubt Sugar would have said "with regret" if he had a crystal ball and found out a bit more about the guy! Just this week, Mr Farrell has been charged with mortgage fraud and could serve some time in prison.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...=feeds-newsxml |

I was also suprised that Alan Sugar didn't mention Stella's rotten idea of Cockney London and then getting lost with her bemused group of tourists. Cockney London could be a big seller, and although they mostly showed her getting lost and the bus going through grotty backstreets, they also had a clip of them meeting a Pearly King, which would be very authentic 'London' experience, and she took them into Spitalfields Market area which she rightly said is off the tourist track but is really nice. The pricing and selling of the tour were where it fell down and Stuart exluded Stella from those decisons and activities by making her swot up for the tour. I don't think you could really blame her for the theme since The Brand made it clear he knowingly put her on the spot by choosing it. and she could have said that there were no other ideas put forward if she was criticised. |

She did, though. He didn't say "You're fired". Rather, it was "I am going to let you go". Sounded softer and with reluctance. That's not exactly surprising, though, seeing the ludicrous choice he was making, based on a crazy cringe-making performance in the boardroom of someone who only managed to sell half of what Liz did.

Yes, on police bail for fraud, sacked from his financial job, and a previous conviction for weapons offences.
