The only possible reason I can think he survived over Liz is that they have absolute dynamite on him for the interview rounds, so needed him to stay.

Stuart is indeed a Director at Bluewave and does infact appear to be the only shareholder. His mother (Or sister?) is also listed as a director however has no shareholding in the company.
Whether the company turns over £3m or not I don't know, but it certainly seems a realistic prospect to me. Besides, as he said, its only turnover, not profit. Fair enough he is a ass, but I give it to him, for his age he has done well! |

seemed to me that the good TV of having Baggs ripped into by some pros was something that they couldn't miss.
Liz being the best ever salesperson surely had a much better track record to remain, but The Brand TM fought his corner outrageously and Liz was gobsmacked at the rubbish pouring out - so much so, sthat h forgot to defend herself or just point out her much better track record |

That company name threw up iomtoday.com which had a little article about Martin Clunes visiting the isle...
"I WONDER if there's a Viking word for smug. . . ' That's the conclusion of Men Behaving Badly star Martin Clunes whose TV tour of British islands takes him to the Isle of Man in the next episode to be broadcast on Sunday evening. But despite fears to the contrary, he portrays the Island in a very positive light – with his criticisms directed not at the Manx people or the Island's countryside but at 'smug' newcomers who brag about paying no tax. He barely disguises his view of rich newcomers during his interview with an internet millionaire, Stephen Baggs, who tells him he's 'between cars at the moment', adding: 'You've got to spend your money on something. Maybe a yellow Ferrari.' Ballaugh-based Mr Baggs, who has been power boat racing since 2006 and whose boat Vortigern will be competing in the Honda 4-stroke championships again this year, tells him: 'We would not have got where we are today paying UK tax rates. 'I'm quite happy paying taxes here as it contributes to the Island. It's a great place to live – freedom sums it up really.' " Looks like the apple didn't fall too far from the tree

OMFG! I just rang Stuart's company and it went straight through to him. So I guess he didn't win The Apprentice laugh out loud!

I thought exactly the same.
His own company at 21 with a turnover of £3 million per year, or a £100,000 per year job working for someone else? Hmmm, tough choice |

I think he is an interesting one. Most of his big-ups surrounding himself are about how he is a great salesman yet he hasn't proved that to us yet. He also hasn't shown us anything other than what a big mouth he has.
He certainly is capable of talking a good game, but have we seen that spark from him that the position requires? I don't think so. I don't think he was kept just because they have good stuff on him for the next round, I think it would be very disrespectful to the potential employees if the producers say we want a good show, fire someone else please. I really do believe that Lord Sugar is a one-off in British business. He readilly admitted a few programs ago that he is not popular amongst other businessmen. That famous clip, shown on HIGNFY when the reporter asks him about the recession summs him up perfectly. He is successful. He does not give a toss what other people think. He has said that he does not allow the producers to influence his decisions. I believe him. As I say, I might be naive, but I really think Lord Sugar is firing who he wants, when he wants. OK, he's play along with all the drama of criticisning everone and leaving false trails. That's all part of TV production. I think the Piers Morgan "interview" with Lord Sugar showed him to be a totally honest and genuine person. |

its a real shame that LS chose to put through people just on how good TV it would make. Stuart got through as he will make good telly in the interviews, Stella also due to her coldness. Liz may well have done well on this but would be boring in comparison. A real shame....it should be more than just a gameshow when so much is at stake for these people

as a local on the Isle of Man, Mr Baggs is obviously quite a talking point here at the moment, I will just say that I think he is going to come unstuck in the forthcoming interviews.
His Bluewave telecoms company is barely heard of here and must have less than 1% of the market share on the Island. his previous company - which we do dont know the name of - no one knows anything about so where has this 3million come from ? gods knows, his imagination I think or his Dad!. the general consensus is that his Dad who has come over the take advantage of the tax system here and flaunt his wealth he most definetly given him a kick up the ladder. watch this space lol |

I'm not sure they go straight away to the job as it could be leaked so they start after it has been shown on TV.
As far as spoilers go, there are threads on this forum which have spoilers in them, and there have been since before the series started, so there are plenty of things that are known ahead of time. Yes, the press could tell these things ahead of time, but they play the game. The press get stories from the series which boost their sales figures, and the stories act as free advertising for the series. It's win/win, whereas revealing who the finalists are before the series has even started would just upset people. |

What the hell is going on? Mistaken identity or the programme selling us their version of his background rather than the truth? |

Hold on, in the profile programme last night Stuart's dad was a cheery man in a jumper who runs a pub and sits in a country kitchen with his frumpy wife.
What the hell is going on? Mistaken identity or the programme selling us their version of his background rather than the truth? Stuart Mark Baggs in IM7 with other occupants: Marjorie Ann Cowan, Rosemary Baggs, Stephen Roger Alden Baggs, Stephen Roger Baggs, Charlotte Louise Baggs from the 2007 electoral roll. Which backs up the power boating story. |

As long as I had backing and a buyer, I could buy a three million pound house tomorrow (or two for a million and a half each), sell them at three million and one pounds and bingo. I've turned over three million and one pounds. Turnover isn't a very good indication of how successful a business is. |

The BlueWave annual return filed this year doesn't show the profit & loss, only the share ownership.
That's not unusual though - here in the UK mainland you don't need to file profit & loss unless your turnover is over £5.8 million. So we'll never know! |
