They didn't lose on their theme - they lost on their pricing.

I think Stella did very well this episode - she was totally out of her comfort zone and she showed a very different side to herself. Not a perfect performance, by any means, but you could tell how much she was pushing herself to show something other than corporate ice queen.

The East End theme wasn't 'bulldozed' through. There were no other suggestions forthcoming from the other two. It was the only idea on the table.

Stella was a poor guide, but she did embrace the challenge and it wasn't ultimately her fault that the team lost. It was a failure to secure a deal with the tourist centre and a lack of customers that cost the team victory. Therefore it was always going to be down to Stu & Liz..

It would have worked better if they sold more tickets.

I think Lord Sugar seems quite fond of her, whereas I don't think he was as fond of Liz. It's his job he's rewarding the winner with so I guess things are going to be seen as unfair from time to time.

Stella not only survived but she got compliments from Lord Sugar. lol The thought of firing her didn't seem to even cross his mind, and I for one am glad.
As soon as he said she had won more tasks than anyone else I knew she was safe, Lord Sugar does love his little facts and figures to back up his decisions.

It beggared belief that Karen Brady sat there and said nothing about how poor Stella was as a tour guide. It was all about the Eastend both tours in fact you'd think from being offered those tours that apart from a few minutes by the Thames all there is in London worth seeing is 'The Eastend'.

What about the National Film Theatre, the history of Euston and Paddington, the museums in Kensington, County Hall, Buckingham Palace for christs sake, Kensington Palace, The Tower of London, the Zoo, Regents Park the kind of tourist spots that tourits would be interested in. Jellied eels and some bloke trying to dress up from three centuries back what a load of tripe!

Stella got away scot free because Lord Sugar allowed her to and Karen Brady assisted in that. If the point of the task was only purely about organinsing with no assessment in terms of how the tours were presented what was the point of showing so much footage of the tours? Surely if Stella had actually delivered a tour of any value the point could have been made that the people who were on it could say have filled out a questionnaire on how good, bad or poor it was?

Tonight was probably the worst episde of the entire series in terms of the tasks. You start to wonder on the one hand whether Lord Sugar had by week 10 run out of ideas for another task or on the other realise that he was probably quite glad that the following week would be interview week.

I was surprised her insistence on the cockney theme wasn't even mentioned. Stuart had said to camera early on that if we lose she'll get the blame for the poor choice. Yet when it came to it he agreed the pricing was the key issue. I thought Stella was the most likely to be fired of the three, was quite surprised Liz got the chop instead.

She was useless but she's way hotter than Joanne so I say

And then she and Stuart can have an affair and appear in Hello magazine.

Stella got away "Scot free" as the task was won or lost on profit, not the quality of the tour - a point Lordalun alluded to in the boardroom. I almost thought he was going to come right out and say "it didn't matter if you just sat and stared at the tourists - you already had their money"
So, yes, Stella did little to contribute to the tasks' success, but equally she didn't have the oppotunity to contribute to its failure either.

I think she wanted to go on the bus to get away from Stuart!

We don't actually know why they didn't sell. LS as often never investigated the real issues.

It could have been Stella's theme.

It may have been pricing - though Stuart claimed to have altered prices at some point - when mattered.

It could have been not getting support from the agency - or that may not have been significant.

It could have been the reason why Stuart sold much less than Liz - if he had sold as much how near to winning would they have been.

Stella escapes because he comes to the conclusion firstly that she's chosen the minor role avoiding the decisions but then decides she tries hard but not very successfully .

There's very little thats logical in any of what LS does this week.

From the edit of the boardroom scenes I think the high pricing was the reason they lost the task. Liz said on You're Fired he plucked the £35 figure from his mind. He didn't have a clear pricing strategy and he also seemed unprofessional in trying to nick punters from the other team. He was mega-lucky to stay. He just bullshitted big time and to his credit he got away with it. He fooled Sugar! Silly twit he's become.

How do you know that? Just because that's all we were shown, doesn't mean other ideas were not put forward.

Rather think he was acting the way many of the real tour operators work. It can be quite cut throat and I've certainly seen them act like that for real.

It was so funny when Liz is taking the team around east London and gets lost. One of the great comedy moments of the series, I thought.

"And here we ... er are at the er... bus stop. But this is the famous east end bus stop where er... some king once past by and er.. hold on a sec... I'll see if anyone has a sat-nav I can borrow..."

Absolutely agree it should at least have been mentioned. She got LOST on her own tour, ffs! She had to ASK A POLICEMAN the way! How incompetent is that? And then she was reading the lyrics to Knees Up Mother Brown like some sort of cue card, which robbed the song of any possible spontaneity or fun it could have had.

Terrible, just terrible. Liz was shafted: if the price point was what lost them the task then Stuart should have been held accountable. LS just has a soft spot for him, and ol' Stubags can certainly talk the hind legs off any animal you care to mention.

But Stella should have been taken to task. She was the Worst Tour Guide in the History of Tour Guides, bar none!

It was. She insisted, in fact she said she was passionate about it. They caved in and Stuart seemed to think this would save him if they lost.

So much is cut out in the edit, so we don't know what other ideas were kicked around. They have to design the flyers and choose the uniforms, etc, but none of that was shown because it wasn't central to the theme.

It's clear Sugar has the hots for Stella. It's her "you're not having me, Sugar" eyes. He knows she's a challenge! You can see it when he speaks to her. He goes a bit wussy. Stella will win simply because Sugar fancies her and finds her corporate demeanour incredibly sexy. But don't ask Stella to take Sugar on a tour of London.

Being a poor guide didn't contribute to them losing the task. It's quite simple really.

Not that she did a bad job anyway, she was more clued up than Jamie at least.

£35 wasn't that bad, and Stuart's plan was to start high and barter with the punters. That worked quite well in face to face sales, but was a non-starter with the ticket agency, who need a fixed price which is workable from the outset. However, I've seen bus tours offered for that kind of price, so I didn't think he was that far off. Foreign tourists are generally willing to part with their cash for any old tat, and don't complain much.

Jamie was a better tour guide than Stella. He made the odd rick but Stella was hardly clued up. Is that a banksy

Jamie's tour actually seemed quite entertaining and the people on the bus seemed to enjoy it.

But Jamie got his whole bus singing and knew about timing the chorus to occur when they went under a bridge. He spouted some nonsense but the tourists didn't really care. There will be tourists now back at home wondering what London's biggest river must look like and how big a diameter is.

Stella was rubbish. In Whitehall she managed to miss the Cenotaph and Downing Street. And having threatened everybody with jellied eels, couldn't find the stall. Still, the tour itself was irrelevant to winning or losing. I still think she should have been fired though.

Oh boy.

In which case I'm even more glad that Stella survived because it seems Stuart was deliberately setting her up for a fall.

At any rate, if Liz & Stu were so against Stella's suggestion, they could have voted against it - two against one.

The fact they went with it implies they couldn't think of anything better. A not so great idea is still better than no idea at all.

I like the idea of Loralun having the hots for someone!
