Len has the credentials - no question; it would be good to see him apply them more consistently.

Len has been consistently consistent and brilliant since day one. No Len means no Strictly. Period.

No (unless replaced by someone with equivalent or better qualifications). The removal of the only ballroom/latin qualified judge would be a signal to the contestants that anything goes and technique did not matter any more. I'd rather have a grumpy inconsistent judge who occasionally delivers an informative remark than a bland one who never says anything interesting or anything to offend. I don't think the audience booing any remotely critcal remark helps and to some extent can understand why Len gets frustrated.

I have faith in Len - he is like the Grandpa of dance. Alesha on the other hand ...

Yes. More complaints to the BBC about him and maybe they'll get rid of him and replace him, hopefully with someone familiar such as Erin or Karen, but if not familiar, still a qualified Latin and Ballroom expert.

How does one complain to the BBC?

It's not the X Factor and we should not be picking our own judges because we like what they say!

Clicked on this thread because I thought it was a joke.

Not sure I could get excited enough about a programme whose quality has gone down the dunny this series but if I had to vote for judges to sack it would be:

Bruno: Ludicrously 'oo look at me I'm a camp Italian' comments
Len: Inconsistency. Some really good stuff, like marking down a dance that was entertaining but not the dance they were asked to perform. Some really bad stuff, like praising others who were carp.
Alesha: A vast improvement this series. Mostly.
Craig: The only one that I can see actually cares about the competition and has dance knowledge.

Go for it. I was told I wouldn't get a reply. But I did. Not much of one but it does get registered.

Len gets right up my nose but there is no denying his credentials.

If he would get off his high horse a bit and stop downmarking anything avant garde he would be better.

However there are two worse judges than him - who have lost all credibility this season.

Craig is the only one who deserves any respect.

That's why I can only conclude that deliberate contrariness or favouritism is involved in his decisions. As I said, he can be so informative if he wants to be.

I agree. He's past it. And so is Bruce. Carriage clocks for both of them.

and the production team offer them new contracts - what a waste.

They could sack all the judges except Craig, and it wouldn't bother me. They have been useless this year, with daft comments and even dafter scoring. I believe that many of the things they come out with are dictated to them by the new producer who is obviously a control freak.

support that totally, Len to my mind would be no great loss to the programme as the producers seem to think otherwise. BBC, please pull your finger out.

If it is the case that the judges are told what to come out with (of which I have doubts) or that they are having to be seen to be singing from the same hymn-sheet as the production team in that they should not be critical of props and faffing about (something that is quite possible) then sacking one or all judges would have no discernible effect. The production team would have to change. And given the fact that this series seems to be more popular than any other, that scenario seems rather unlikely.

don't buy into it sadly, like the contestants the judges are not safe either. Wouldn't hold your breath is my advice to you.
