The editing of this show has become a joke.
Every week I can predict the resolution from the way they edit the show. It's just all so knowingly edited.
They should edit it without knowing the result. Sure it may make it harder to create a narrative, but they wouldn't sign-post the result so much.
This week they were particularly blatant, taking clips from different times in the day to splice them together to try and portray them as neck and neck so the end result is a surprise.
I think that's the main problem... they try to keep them neck and neck in the narrative, but often they are not. So they play up one side seeming like a failure. You can then deduce, when they are over-egging the failure of one side, that they in fact have done well.
