Four business professionals tear the remaining candidates to shreds on the basis of their CVs.

If they're anything like as good as James's CV last year, it'll be excellent. If they're not, it could be dull. But it's basically thirty minutes of watching the candidates get yelled at, which is always fun. Total character and professional assassination. Heck, not assassination. Obliteration.

Like rwebster said, you have four of Lord Sugar's "business associates" grilling the five remaining applicants.

The interviews take most of the day and as there is usually one extra interviewee than there are interviewers, it means that somebody is always waiting nervously in the lobby to be called in somewhere.

It sounds really boring when you say "interviews" but it's not as they do give them a hard time and take them apart.

After the interviews are over, the "business associates" gather in the boardroom with Alan Sugar, Nick and Karen and give their verdict on the people they have seen.

The five remaining applicants will then be called into the Boardroom and it wil be like previous weeks when they all have to defend themselves and it will end up with three of them being fired, leaving two left for the final next week.

Enjoy

This will be your first experience of Margaret, then. Until this series she had Karren's job on the programme, but left in order to study for a PhD in...I'm going to say heiroglyphics. Something like that, anyway. She's ace.

It is generally quite good fun as the interviewers (well actually probably a BBC researcher) really do their homework, in previous series they have discovered candidates lying about their qualifications, embelishing their company accounts and generally making over exaggerated claims about what they have achieved in previous roles, so we get to watch the candidates squirm and then add fuel to the fire as they tell more lies to cover the first lies and so on

We also get to see the return of the marvellous Margaret Mountford who did Karen's job until this series and who I suspect will make an excellent interviewer.

I thought there were gonna be 3 in the final? But then this is the first proper series of The Apprentice i've watched, along with the last Junior Apprentice.

I actually suspect that most of the 10 hours or so of interviewing is pretty dull.

But by the time it's distilled into about 30 minutes of highlights, there are always a large number of entertaining gems.

and at the end, sugar disregards what his interviewers tell him, and makes at least one firing mistake
