Or just didn't turn up? He didn't look keen on being roped into the task did he? Did they have a deal with him or where thehy going to rely on the customers buying off him?

Or was it Stella's fault they couldn't find him?

Nah, Tubby Isaac's is always in the same place off Commercial Road.

That was hilarious.
Totally patronising and yet a bit daft on the jellied eels man's part not to bite his tongue and cash in on a bit of fame and free advertising.
I wonder what he had to hide?

He didn't move - Stella got lost & couldn't find him.

Stuart made the mistake of not taking Stella when working out the route.

At least on the other team Jamie was involved in working out the route so knew where to go.

It was nicelty times that after she asked him to be all cockney my wife and I said "How patronising is she" about a second before that opinion was voiced on screen

This was an unforgivable mistake. Burying your head in books about London wont make you a taxi driver or tour guide. You have to do the walk as well.
To me it looks like she has never stepped across the road from her posh city office to the East end.
I cant even think how she thought she could get away with it.
Maybe she has been there years ago and thought she could remember it.

Yes. He looked extremely uncomfortable being filmed.

Hard to believe but not everyone craves celebrity.

Yes - like fishy jelly with needles hidden in for the unwary.
Every one should try 'em once, but just the once.

He looked to me as if he was speaking to someone who just landed off another planet!

'Be all Cockney' - stereotyping much? I'd have laughed if Tubby had worn a yarmulke and danced to Fiddler on the Roof!

The only bit I didn't like was when Liz said "We want to get the real London."

I'd say it's absolutely fine to ask them to play up to the tourists, paint a nifty picture and all that. Think it's a bit weird to pitch it to him by saying "that's what London's actually like."

She wasn't actually very far from him when she gave up looking. The streets off Petticoat Lane can all look similar to the unwary.

<--- used to visit Tubby Isaacs for his lunch break.
