Why wasnt Liz's making the most money mentioned last night

Making most money in history of the show should have kept her in she was treated shabbily

That was weeks ago, selling a product that sold itself. As Surallen told her a couple of weeks ago it's not good enough to have performed well in the early part of the process, you have to do so consistently throughout.

Still more than Stuart's achieved though

It was also Stuart who lost the other team the opportunity to sell the babygrows in that task.

I would say though that in the boardroom it is up to the candidates to bring up their achievements and Liz could easily have made more of what she has achieved in the show but for whatever reason she didn't.

The Badger was a selling machine but still fell at the last hurdle. Suralun told her then he can always hire good salespeople - the Apprentice has to be more rounded than just that - have a certain 'spark'. And be called Stubaggs

i dont think bambi should have gone..... but if she wasnt what he was looking for, then c'est la vie.

no, I disagree. Liz was unable to stick up for herself in the Boardroom and that is why she was relucktantly fired.

She had no cut and thrust.

she had nothing to stick up for herself for.... she behaved with poise, dignity and mature professionalism.... but ultimately wasnt what ls is looking for.

Yes perhaps, and also she is the first contestant (I can remember) who was almost in tears when being fired. However I don't think she had the spark and there seems to have been an underlying bitchiness in Liz this last couple of weeks. I would have preferred her to air her differences with Stella after last week's boardroom with just the two of them present but she chose to wait until she was back in the house to be backed up.

Shibby sold the most for his team on the task he got fired, as did Paloma. After the same thing with Liz this week, it's just looking like sales figures are at most a minor factor in his decision making-process.

'I'm not just looking for a salesman' is Sugar's patter for keeping a duffer he likes and firing someone better. Yes, Liz should have punctured Baggs' hot air more effectively, but there was no excuse for Sugar stating Baggs's spiel made sense when it didn't.

I think it did.

It seems Sugar is looking to diversify and needs someone with 'creative spark' which he see's in Baggs and not in Locke. LS is looking for a certain skill set for a new venture I suspect. Baggs is unorthodox and can still be shaped, more so than Locke can in LS's view.

Not that difficult IMO.

I think it may count, but there are other factors. Shibby may have sold, but he made some terrible decisions as PM. Paloma may have sold, but Lord Sugar just didn't like her. I don't think Liz had anything that much against her, but Stuart pulled the old "I'm just like you!" gambit which often works; either that or Lord Sugar just thought he'd give us more of a laugh in the interviews than Liz would have (and he's probably not wrong)

She couldn't control her voice under pressure, it made her seem weak. Also exaggerates her facial expressions which works with pitching and selling but seems insincere in discussions and boardroom scenarios
