Iphone 3G - slow and painful death

Iphone 3G.

Needs a full restore at least once a week.

If I use it to do anything more than making calls, it dies quicker.

Symptoms before it dies: apps won't load (start then crash instantly), wi fi sometimes goes, can take photos but they wont save.

Have tried 3.1.2, 3.1.3 and 4.0.1. Tried jailbroken and unjailbroken. Same crash.

Phone gets stuck on apple logo, then I have to restore.

Apple store says it is a sfotware problem which is obviously BS considerin everything I have tried. ie all the firmwares and the fact I install no apps as well.

Any ideas what it is and how I could fix? Phone is in full working order up until the dreaded moment it starts to show the symtoms.

Thanks

I have no advice as mine is also playing up, before I upgraded to iOS4 all was fine, after that its all gone tits up, today for example I open Twitter it just froze had to restart and it takes ages to come on again, and I am running 3.1.3, or today I received a phone call, was on the phone for about 1 min and had full signal phone just cut off, I looked at the display and the battery and signal had disappeared of the top of the screen, Some things up but what I can't figure out, its a painful experience to use the phone
