Farmer Bob the gymnast every time, nice guy, better dancer, stops looking an himself in the mirror long enough to train...
The only question anyone in my house ever has about Gavin is how Charlotte Church put up with him! |

Whoever dances best on the night.
Matt's obviously the more talented dancer, but I really can't warm to him, and I agree with those who don't rate Aliona's choreography. |

Gavin. I am not that keen on either, but Matt started out as a good dancer and is still a good dancer. Gavin started out as a terrible dancer and is now an Ok dancer. Plus I feel awkward watching Matt dance for some reason.

Why would I pick Gavin? He can't dance.

Off these two I would pick Matt. Gavin is due to exit.

Matt's a great dancer but I've never been overly impressed with any of his and Aliona's dances. Think it's because Aliona's choreography suits her and takes no account of her partner's personality.
I'm another who never thought she would say this; I'd prefer Gavin to get through. Didn't understand his sense of humour at the start and only saw an ego who expected to win. Katya, who I don't really like, has brought Gavin out of his shell so full credit to her for that. If Matt's dance suits his style and personality then Matt will get 10s and deserve his place. Last week was better and I'm hoping Matt will go through...... I'm confused! |

Gavin vs Matt = Matt
Gavin vs Scott = Gavin Matt is an excellent dancer, Scott is good at ballroom, not so much at latin, in this case I'd let my sympathies win

The recent spate of threads reminds me of this. Gavin or Matt. Gavin or Matt. Gavin or Matt. Gavin or Scott. Gavin or Scott. Gavin or Scott. Kara or Pam. Kara or Pam. Kara or Pam. etc.

There was a charming tv advert where a little girl was trying to choose between her daddy and chips. And because Daddy pinched one of her chips, she chose the chips!

Matt! He is a far superior dancer and I really haven't warmed to Gavin. Sorry, Gavin fans......it's nothing major, I just wouldn't be inspired to pick up the phone and vote for him.

I just dont understand why people are voting for Gavin over people with real talent.
He's tried his hardest throughout the whole programme, sometimes got it nearly-right, sometimes not so right. He's still a couple of weeks (at least) behind the others, if there had been a mid-series break, he would've caught up. There have been glimpses of some really nice bits of work. I still haven't made my mind up about Katya, whether she's achieved miracles or not. She appears to praise him a lot in training, and if he thinks he's done well but the judges don't, there's a problem there. She's already said he could get 'four tens' for the VW, but if that was from the same training session which Erin dissected, I'm worried. I was supporting him anyway, but I'm hoping he gets a proper chance to shine this weekend. No, he's not a 'natural dancer' but neither are the others when it turns out most have vast dancing experience already. Matt has the wrong partner and his time is divided. His acting has never been strong (tension in the face) but the judges only picked up on it recently. I thought I would like and support him, but he's not what I thought he would be at all. He has so much talent, if he'd had more time and a partner less oddball, he would have produced some gorgeous, classy routines. Scott has gone downhill, and has been vastly overmarked. He's had the fortune of Natalie as a pro. He's also played ever Strictly excuse card there is whereas Gavin's just got on with it. |
