I think he definitely is, based on their body language. They certainly have great chemistry when dancing and that's all that really matters for the show.

Twice in two days they have shown clips where Kara calls Artem "honey." Not that that means anything other than what the producers want us to believe. Two minutes on the phone to the cold-calling double-glazing saleswoman and my flatmate is calling her "sweetheart."

My favourite couple (Kara to win \o/), but I am not seeing the romance either. Not that I would expect to see it from Artem - he wears blasé like it was the latest fashion.

Who cares? Unless she' in some way stopping Artem from dating me, which, sadly, she isn't, I don't really give a rat's behind. Real or false, its just the ole goldfish bowl syndrome - we won't much care whether they are or aren't when they're no longer in the goldfish bowl, and they'll probably realise they've got nothing in common when they're no longer living in it either.

That's why I felt uncomfortable in their tango VT on Saturday. It came across like they felt they had to talk about their relationship because people just wouldn't shut up about it, talking on forums and the media making up interviews. If it was me, I'd want to say on camera just what was happening straight from the horse's mouth so the media and people in general would stop making crap up.

As Kara & Artem have come across as very honest throughout the whole show, I don't believe this is a showmance. For one thing if it was they'd be doing the Ali & Brian thing of being coy as opposed to be flat out honest - saying that no, they're not together but they might be after the show is over. If they were doing it for show, surely they'd be saying they are together right now, playing the romance out in front of the audience. They're not which is what makes me think it's true. Plus their chemistry is very obvious on and off the dance floor.

Personally I don't care one way or the other - they're the best dancing couple for me and that's all that matters. I just happen to believe they're honest and forthright enough to tell it like it is. They're also good enough to get to the final on their dancing, which is what they keep trying to direct people to lol.

Double reverse psychology (yes, my own term), you see. They are trying to create the sexual tension (oh, they have so much chemistry they MUST be together blah blah blah!!!) and in that way grip the audience until the very last dance.

Or they could be telling the truth lol. All I can base it on is the feeling I've got from them on the show, that's it. I don't believe all the silly sources and such the rags always cite. So far they've come across as very upfront about their arguments, their successes, their good times and bad and they've been believable to me in a way that no other Strictly couple (romantic or not) ever has, so I choose to believe what they tell me on camera. Plus their chemistry and body language suggests it's the truth too. It could be a total lie of course, but I just don't get that feeling.

Besides, it's their dancing they keep trying to get everyone to focus on and as a fan of their's, that's how I feel too.

I don't think it's a lie. But if I am in Artem's shoes, I would be kissing Kara's feet in adoration in every ITT interview, and not stay as cool as he is!

So, from my perspective, he's either gay as a picnic basket or he's really not that into her romantically. Yes, he might want to boink her and he did promise to ask her out on a date in the VT (which I believe to be true) but after what happened with Brian and Ali I refuse to be a romantic when it comes to Strictly.

I am with you on the not believing the romance tripe normally. If a couple give the feeling of being into each other (which to be honest I'd only ever noticed with Matt and Flavia before this year) then I'll think ooh something's goin on there. But if they say it and I don't feel or see it (like Ali & Brian) I think it's either fake to get votes or just because they're spending so much time together. But Kara & Artem give me the impression it's a real thang. Whether it's life-long, everlasting is up for question of course but I do get the feeling they more than like each other
